I went to Strada in St Katherine Docks last night. Being a Saturday night, it was nice to see the restaurant wasn't busy and I was able to get a table straight away.
Having been seated, it took a while before some came to take out order. I had a Rigatoni Speck E Grogonzola and my dining partner had the Linguine Alla Pescatora, both were lovely and we did not have to wait long.
Give the restaurant was half full at best, there wasn't much of an atmosphere. No soothing music being pipped in, no loud chefs barking out orders as customer look-on watching their meals being prepared, no amusing waiting staff......
My main gripe though, and this applies to all Strada restaurants, is that the tables are too small. I was virtually balancing my plate on the edge of the table to allow space for drinks and the obligatory basket of garlic bread. They do their best to get as many people/tables in their restaurants withouth breaching Health & Safety codes!
