Dropped in here for an anniversary meal this weekend. Opted for the calamari starter and 7oz fillet steak w. peppercorn sauce main. Calamari was excellent, nicely delicate and soft. The steak was on the rare side of my medium rare in part but one of the most succulent, tender steaks I've ever had, like cutting through butter. Presentation was also excellent and the service was perfect. We asked for a quiet table initially and the chief waiter advised us after seating that a table of 10 was due in nearby and offered to move us.

Paid £75 for two courses each plus veg sides, a couple of beers incl. 12.5% service charge. I'm happy with that and will certainly go back.

We chose the house water in the clay bottles with clip lids; a light supper and at just the right temperature; pleasantly served

a poor restaurant. cote richmond is well known for its slow and impersonal service. its food offering comes nowhere near to making up for this. as a large chain a lot of the food is not prepped in house, so what you get are generically flavoured and bland dishes presented with no passion. this is a pretty shallow take on a french bistro.

Seven of us went there last night and the service was terrible. We were put on a table upstairs where the noise was deafening. It took 15 minutes for us to ask if we could have some drinks and menus. It all seemed a bit too much of an effort for the waiting staff to serve us and when they did everything took such a long time to come. One of the plates of olives we ordered to have with drinks arrived with the main course! It was 50 minutes between the starter and the main course arriving and when we'd finished our main course the plates weren't cleared away for what seemed like an age. Yet again we had to ask the staff to do this. As the service was so awful none of us enjoyed the food. We would never go there again.

It was a very nice experience in Cote a month ago. The meal is tasty, and the presentation is superb. May go back again...

I am also sad that the previous diner had such a bad time. I went with my fiancee to Cote and really enjoyed it. The food was superb and exactly what you would expect from a classic bistro, and the service was attentive without being overly so, and really very very good. By far the best waiter I've seen in a while in London. So, thank you Cote, we'll be back again and again if you keep this up.
