Seven of us went there last night and the service was terrible. We were put on a table upstairs where the noise was deafening. It took 15 minutes for us to ask if we could have some drinks and menus. It all seemed a bit too much of an effort for the waiting staff to serve us and when they did everything took such a long time to come. One of the plates of olives we ordered to have with drinks arrived with the main course! It was 50 minutes between the starter and the main course arriving and when we'd finished our main course the plates weren't cleared away for what seemed like an age. Yet again we had to ask the staff to do this. As the service was so awful none of us enjoyed the food. We would never go there again.

It was a very nice experience in Cote a month ago. The meal is tasty, and the presentation is superb. May go back again...

I am also sad that the previous diner had such a bad time. I went with my fiancee to Cote and really enjoyed it. The food was superb and exactly what you would expect from a classic bistro, and the service was attentive without being overly so, and really very very good. By far the best waiter I've seen in a while in London. So, thank you Cote, we'll be back again and again if you keep this up.

It is a shame that the last diner had such a poor experience, I dined with my family on 22nd November and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
We all ordered confusing and complicated things on the menu (adding, and taking away parts of the dishes as appropriate) the waiter could not have been more obliging, and he got full mark for getting it right.
The food was overall very good (afterall this is a chain restaurant) and the service was attentive, without being annoying. Our waiter did appear to be busy, but it was Saturday night and a rugby night in Richmond so the restaurant was completely full.
We had a very enjoyable evening and would recommend this to others - we will be going back again.

Come here if you enjoy abysmal service.
We virtually had to offer up our first-born to get some drinks, waited well over an hour until two of the three main courses arrived, followed five minutes later by the third., just enough time for everything to go cold. No word of an apology, with the staff flaying about like maniacs, but not actually managed to take an orders..
Then, to cap it off, the bill arrived with the 'discretionary' service charge automatically added. For the amount of work I had to do, I should have been charging them.
If the owners of Cote are reading this, you should be utterly ashamed.
