I had a fantastic time at this restaurant. My wife booked a 7.30 table for my 40th Birthday - a romantic dinner for two. The staff were charming, friendly and helpful. Service was quick and attentive. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great, and the menu wasn't indecipherable. I'd recommend this place to anybody. They'll even make sure that the wine is to your liking.
As for dressing up - I dressed smart casual but did not feel the need to wear anything smarter than that - it was a birthday celebration after all - and I didn't feel out of place at all. There was a real mix of diners with different dress.

I ate at Brian's restaurant at lunch time on 2nd May. On arrival at the restaurant, Brian was there and let on to us when he saw us. He came over and said hello, asked how we were and then got on with his business.
I had a beef dinner followed by a fruit cobbler. The beef was beautiful. I had eaten beef at Antony Worrall-Thompson's Notting Grill and it was too undercooked. Brian's was perfect. I just wish I had more veg to accompany it (a bit on the skimpy side - still it was only lunch, not dinner) The fruit cobbler for desert was the most fantastic desert I have ever eaten.
Having ordered from the al a carte menu, I can say that there wasn't a big choice for vegetarians, if that is your preferred choice of meal. However, they can and will alter and adapt any meal to suit.
The price was reasonable. It was around £20 for the two courses.
As my friend mentioned in his review below, we got to meet Brian in the bar, where he signed a couple of menus for us and let us have our photograph taken with him. He chatted to us for a good five minutes and was genuinely interested in chatting with us; it wasn't done out of neccessity.
The staff at his restaurant were very attentive, polite and professional.
I would reccommend this restaurant to anybody.

My partner and I had dinner at this restaurant last Saturday. Having read some of the earlier reviews I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I have to say that everything exceed any expectations. We both chose the a la carte menu, not cheap but what we would expect to pay in this part of London. Without doubt it was one of the best meals we have ever had, cooked to pefection, we will certainly eat here again, hopefully very soon. Everything about the place was extremely well presented and it was very diificult to find fault in any way.

Myself and a friend visited this restaurant on 18th May and had a Thoroughly wonderful time. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. We both chose from the set menu which we thought was very good value for the standard of food. I would recommend this venue highly to anyone.

We booked this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. We mentioned on the booking that it was our anniversary.
During teh afternoon we popped in to check they had our booking and Brian was there in his chef whites!
Whilst in London we were also going to see the lion king as so had booked the tablke for 9.30pm. During the show we realised that it would not finish until 10.15pm. I called and the restaurant manager knew who I was without giving my name. She was extremely nice and said I know it is your anniversary just come when you are ready which set our minds at rest. On arrival we were greeted by her in a very professional and friendly manner. We were then brought a complimentary glass of bubbly which was a great surprise.
We looked at the menu and we offered the set menu of £23.50 per head- a bargain for Mayfair but we decided to go A La Carte. The starters were fabulous, for mains my husband had the fillet of beef and I had the Vegetarian Option of Brians bread and butter pudding as recomended by the Manager, both were a delight.
Disappointingly we were too full for desserts but had coffee and we we were brought a glass plate of chocolates with 'Happy Anniversary' piped onto it in chocolate sauce.
The restaurant Manager made our special occasion extra special, the food was out of this world and the service impeccable.
The starters from the A La Carte menu range from £7 and the main courses from £14 to £27. The whole meal including wine @ £27 per bottle cost us £110, which is more than reasonable for London let alone Brian Turner in Mayfair.
I would recommend Brain Turners to anyone.

Visited this restaurant on the 11th March 2006, 10 of us sat down for a three course dinner for our mum's birthday. The staff were brilliant and one actually sang Happy Birthday whilst bringing out a plate they had iced for the occasion. The Duck starter and Chicken main were so tasty but the chocolate pudding with Jaffa cake ice cream was unbeatable. Brian Turner was actually in the restaurant and came and said Happy Birthday, he was quite willing to have his picture taken.. all in all it was a brilliant evening and we would all reccommend this restaurant to anyone.

Booked with Spring Promotion choice. The menu choice for this was very poor therefore decided to go a la carte. Not a good start. The food was of good quality, not good valua for money though. Three pax starter and main course one bottle of wine, water and three glasses of champ. 190 pounds...a bit expensive. This is in relation to other restaurants i have been over the last week (Hakkasan, Maze, Oxo Tower). Service also needs major improvement, it is not sleek, from the hostess on the door to the waiting staff and the sommelier (felt in a hurry even though there not too many tables). It lacked leadership on the floor. I had dinner tonight 010306

What can be said about this restaurant other than "utterly amazing". I have just returned home after visiting London for my partners 21st Birthday. This was the perfect place. The food was beautifully presented, the selection was fantastic, and the service was unbelievable. They really couldn't do enough for us. They even made a birthday cake with a personal message. Seriously an excellent restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and look forward to returning again myslef in the not too distant future. My only regret to the entire experience, is that we didn't stay in the hotel itself because that too was utterly amazing. 5+++++

I had breakfast here, and whilst the food was excellent- the service was appaling ( suprising considering Brian Turner was on the next table) - unable to find clean bowls, toast took 15 minutes, fried egg took longer - this is possibly the only ocassion I have ever asked to have the "optional service charge" removed from the bill ( bit of a joke anyway - 12.5% added to bill for a buffet breakfast?)
