Kazan

I went for a romantic meal to Kazan the other evening and the decor was definitely appropriate for the occasion. Warm and sumptuous. Food did not blow me away though. It is good, decent cooking, but the combinations of flavours are not always exquisite. Boreks were lovely and so were the lamb and cumin sausages - but I'm not sure whether they make those in house though.

My garlic mash was average and so was the starter of monkfish and prawns. Chargrilled minced lamb was nicely seasoned, but the sauce it came in was bland and almost unneccesary due to its thinnes and lack of flavour.

Staff were charming and attentive. I loved the spiced Turkish tea. Didn't try any of the desserts. Not sure I'd go again. For great kebabs and similar food to this I'd probably opt for Maedah Grill....but then again Kazan is a much more beautiful restaurant!

Fantastic place! Good food, great friendly service, and good value for money. This is one of the best restaurants in the Victoria / Pimlico area. I've been a repeat customer for many times, and the quality of the food is very consistent.

We had our Christmas meal there and enjoyed fresh food, good service, great restaurant we all agreed we would return. Only slight criticism was that the table we were seated at was a little cramped for 6 adults, overall very good indeed!

I booked a table at this restaurant for my birthday because I thought it would provide a friendly environment for a group of a dozen friends. I wanted to enjoy a reunion in pleasant surroundings at an establishment that offered solid, flavoursome food. I was not disappointed.

The staff here are very friendly and accommodating, and the pleasantly bubbly atmosphere is great for celebratory events, or even just dining for two if you prefer a more lively venue. The modern Turkish decor is executed with style and I feel that it added to the occasion. All our party had well-cooked and tasty meals and I was surprised at the delicacy of some of the cuisine (our Dolma dish was especially good). The eagerly anticipated shisha capped off a fantastic birthday meal, albeit on the cold pavement outside the restaurant.

My only gripe was that the busy (but always convivial) staff sometimes forgot our drinks orders over the course of the evening. I was also disappointed that some of our party were served their meals much later than the rest of us. But all in all I would definitely recommend this place for a similar event.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times, as always found that the food is

very good, very fresh and nicely presented.

The athomsferer very nice, the service quick and friendly. I have recommended it

to all my friends with no reservation. Good value for money!

afterr not dining at kazan for some 4 years, i returned hoping to experience the same great food and atmosphere. the decor seemed a bit more plain and minimalist than i remember and the food was rather small on the mezze portions say for the chicken mezze at almost £5 for two small skewers. felt the service was a bit rushed albeit with a smile. so perhaps it wil be another 4 years before i try again! that being said the borek was delicious as was the tabouli.

Kazan is an amazing retaurant!! I've been there many times and have never been let down.

The food is always fresh, large potions and delicious. You get to nibble on warm Turkish bread, humous and olives while you wait for your food to arrive.

The decor is beautiful and the retaurant has a warm ambience. The staff is quiet friendly too. It is abit expensive but definately worth the money.

Kazan is one of the best places in London in terms of value for money. The food is great, the staff are so nice it makes you want to come back just for that! Very nicely decorated and great location, easy to find. I go back regularly!

We visited this restaurant last weekend and cannot wait to go back. The food is exquisite and very good value. The staff and helpful, polite and cheerful.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a very large choice of dishes and and wine. A fantastic restaurant which is great value for money.
