Went there for Christmas dinner....said nout out of embarrassment about a tasteless combo of salmon and crab starter..yuk. Over all, nice staff, food hot, good presentation and atmosphere but the set menu for Christmas.. no turkey, roast pot etc to be seen, the whole menu from start to finish was all very much an acquired taste.

Alberts Table is simply fabulous, if you live within easy access of Croydon (which is anywhere from London Bridge to Brigthton) it is a must. Their deals make it a very affordable treat; a well worth it one at that. Before we had finished our dessert our table was booked for Christmas Eve. I am sure we'll be going back before then as just thinking about the meal makes my mouth water.

Fantastic experience. Food top notch with delicious homemade breads and really efficient but relaxed service, reasonably priced too. What a fantastic addition to Croydon.

It was our wedding anniversary on a tuesday evening, so we booked a table, which we had been meaning to do for a while to try this restaurant. When we arrived we were greeted by a waiter & taken to our table. The ambience of this restaurant was very simple & elegant & was very comfortable. we chose a chartize prossecco, which was one of the best prosseccos' I have tasted, although a bit pricey was well worth the money. The food was the best I have tasted for a very long time. I never have a dessert but could not resist the chocolate souffle, delicious!. Will definitely be going back & not afraid to recommend it to anyone.

I visited Alberts Table for the first time last night. The food was good but I felt that there was one ingredient too many in most of the dishes.
The real disappointment was the service. We had to wait 50 mins for our starter to arrive and our waitress seem to "forget us" when it came to taking our pudding order and the bill.
Overall I would go back again but not for a long time.

I have visited this retaurant several times, going well out of my way as it has been such a treat on each occasion. The restaurant uses top quality ingredients; and while many restaurants claim to do the same it really shows at Albert's Table.
The menu changes frequently, which has the downside that a favourite dish may not be available that day; but on the positive side you get to try something new, and I have never been disappointed. Visiting the restaurant with friends, we have all tried different dishes and been delighted. The wine list is very good, with helpful recommendations.
The decor is relaxing and reflects the emphasis on good food and well sourced ingredients, wih a creative use of large photographic canvasses of interesting and attractive vegetables - for example globe artichokes.
Whenever we have visited, we have found the service to be friendly and efficient. Very good value considering the quality of the food.

I visited Albert's Table recently with my boyfriend and had a great time, we wanted a relaxed celebration for our 1 year anniversary.
The decor was lovely; elegant but comfortable at the same time. I had a generous duck salad to start and then fish and chips with a modern twist - perfectly cooked plaice with handcut chips. The homemade tartar sauce was particularly lovely. The chocolate dessert was everything a chocoholic could wish for.
The wine was fab, we stuck to the very reasonable house wine and were delighted with a lovely sauvignon blanc. Then splashed out on some delicious dessert wine to round off the evening.
We visited midweek and were happy to find a nice atmosphere with both couples and medium sized groups at the neighbouring tables. Overall i felt the restaurant offered fantastic value for top quality dining in a very relaxed atmosphere.

I dined at Albert's table last Wednesday evening with 3 friends and the experience was so fantastic I wanted to let other diners know what they could be missing out on if they don't make the trip down to Croyden to sample the delights.
On first arriving at the resturant, the ambience is just lovely; very simple and elegant and ideal for either a get-together with a few friends but also intimate and cosy enough for a romantic meal. Waitresses who are just the right mix of knowledgeable but relaxed guide you through the tempting menu, which features enough variety to satisfy the most demanding gourmet or pickiest eater. Unusually, my vegetarian friend was more than catered for with some innovative vegeterian options that are certainly not boring or bland.
We firstly picked a £14 bottle of Sauvignon, which was simply delicious and over-exceeded expectations for its price. For starter, I picked the crab tart, which was a delicious and light and incredibly flavoursome. I followed this with the beef, which was cooked a perfect medium rare. Finally came the puddings, which were almost too tempting to choose from. Luckily, the diners at my table shared the same idea and between us we sampled the devine (and incredibly light) lemon meringue, a perfect raspberry baked cheesecake and a deliciously indulgent chocolate pudding.
Given that we indulged in a thoroughly enjoyable meal with impeccable service and fabulous wine at a mere £40 a head (including service charge), I was left wondering why this place isn't packed to the rafters every night (although on the night we visited about 15 other people in the resturant made for a great atmosphere). The only reason is that this is currently a hidden gem - once the word gets out you'll be on a waiting list, so get in quick and sample this fabulous experience before the waiting list gets too long!

Visited Alberts Table for the first time last week and was amazed to find such a lovely restaurant in the depths of Croydon!
The menu was really interesting - lots of good fish and veggie options as well as a cracking beef dish (my friend had it and was AMAZING!)
I just loved the whole experience: awesome food, very reasonably priced wine (my friend chose it and I assumed it was much more expensive than it was!), very attentive staff and lots of really elegant touches made this a great night out.

I went to for a meal with my sister last week at Alberts table. The atmosphere was slightly chilly and unwelcoming, the silence felt as though every word you spoke was being projected around the half empty restaurant. I spent half my night listening to the staffs conversation, some ambience please !!!! the food was average, nothing really jumped out from the pages of the menu. The wines were yummy, sadly though i will not return and only wish I had read more reviews
