I didn't expect to like this place. Stark minimalist decor, gloomy ambience (particularly downstairs), not enough staff and irritatingly high prices for such a 'casual' ambienced place, but it must be said, the 2 Pasta dishes on offer (Linguine with Mixed Seafood and Papparadelle with Wild Mushrooms) were truly excellent, particularly as this is a non-Italian establishment; both dishes being made with good ingredients and perfectly timed. It shows someone in the kitchen knows what thy are doing. The coffee is also good here, and they have a well chosen selection of wines - but at not at all bargain prices. The cheapest one course (pasta) lunch with the cheapest glass of wine available + 1 cup of coffee comes to £20, which seems a lot for such a stark, gloomy and understaffed establishment, but the saving grace to the place is the cooking.
