Fantastic place. I'm really not sure what the earlier reviewer has experienced but it's too bad. I like the food and the service has always been ok. I've gone a few times for breakfast, and once for dinner. I'll agree that the dinner service is a bit scatty, but nothing bad.
The food is an upscale greasy-spoon type menu. Eggs, sausage, and the like for breakfast, including American style pancakes and waffles. Really good home style cooking. Dinner is burgers and hearty salads. There are a couple of great desserts, too. Fantastic thick milkshakes - you need a spoon for them!
Breakfast is around 6 quid plus maybe a few if you go overboard, and dinner will run you 10 plus drinks. Wine and limited beer are available.
Seating is first come first served, and they have you share tables at busy times. most weekend breakfast hours are like that, so if you're a pair you'll probably be sitting with other people. It's friendly that way.
