Table for 10 guys just before Christmas, and although everyone had a good time I do feel this is the most overated chain in London.

The decor in all the restaurants I have been to is nice and looks stylish and sleek. The menu also reads well with a good choice of cuts and sizes. Service was also okay, friendly and pretty quick (the restaurant was however only a third full).

Now onto the steaks, I had the 400g rump which was cooked perfectly rare, but really lacked flavour. The bearnaise sauce seemed to have no tarragon in it so was basically a hollandaise. Sides were okay but nothing to write home about.

My main problem with this place though is the price, at just under £600 for 10 people with NO starters, 10 steaks, sauces and sides, 4 desserts, 3 bottles of the cheapest red wine on the list and about 25 bottles of beer, this was poor value for money. We spent almost £30 just on sauces for the steaks, and you get a tiny pot each not enough for your steak.

About my 4th visit to a Gaucho grill and Im pretty sure my last.

I first went to this restaurant when it opened some time in the end of last year and I have to say it was nice but pretty similar to the other Gaucho's but a tad slower. However, I recently went back for a birthday celebration and I could not believe how much it had changed! The food was among the best I have had ian any Gaucho and the restaurant ahd a vibe and an energy that was both cool and cosy at the same time. The waitress we had was both cute and charming with a sense of exactly what we needed and when. looking around me I could see a crowd of people seemingly enjoying it as much as we where! My friend got a glass of comlimentary sparkiling dessert wine and the manager came over especially to which her happy birthday. I can't wait to go back!!
