Desperately disappointing !! As a regular customer my take away order was incorrect and I was accused of lying.

The worst sushi I have EVER had.
There were 5 ( yes, five ) dirty and uncleared tables.
Service was surly.
If we never go again, it will be a million years too soon.

We had a take away from here and would definitely not recommend it unfortunately. The Edamame beans were over cooked, the tempura was ok but nothing special, the Gyozas were not cooked enough and the duck noodles were incredibly disappointing, with the duck over cooked and it seemed to be cooked in a vinegary sauce that just didn't compliment it at all. Wouldn't go there again which is such a shame as we had high hopes for it.

Eating at melovesushi was mainly due to convenience.. I didn't fancy the hotel food, this was nearby and I can't resist Japanese food. The restaurant has a bustling atmosphere and wasn't too intimidating for me to eat there on my own. The plum wine is good and not as expensive as some other London restaurants. Omelete nigiri was unfortunately a bit soggy and refrigerated, sashimi platter was good but portion not huge (some of the fish pieces were a bit see through). The chicken gyoza were perfectly cooked but I would enjoyed them more if they were piping hot rather than luke warm. The chicken udon soup was nice and hot.
Staff seemed busy, despite the restaurant being half full, but were polite.
Overall, not a disaster, but I might venture further afield for my sushi next time.

The food is of quite a good standard but the prices are, on the whole, outrageous. The manageress had to be one of the rudest people I have ever encountered! For this price, I would have expected better and more attentive service. There are far better sushi restaurants in London for much better value than this- save your money and go elsewhere!

We tried this restaurant for the first time this evening and both my wife and I were unfortunately very disappointed. We ordered a few dishes including sushi, as well as salmon and avocado temaki . Unfortunately all the temaki were very soggy and rubbery and not crispy as they should be. We addressed this with the manageress who told us that she was sorry but could do nothing for us. We will not be returning here again.

This is a very social restaurant and is fab for groups as they have long benches to sit round. At busy times it can be loud but that just adds to the atmosphere. And another benefit of going with a group is you can just order plates of loads of different sushi and share! So try a bit of everything, their range of starters are also good I love the calamari, edamame beans and dumplings.

This place has an excellent atmosphere especially on near the end of the week, the food is great, the staff are helpful with recommendations is you've never tried sushi before, it has a fun atmosphere, what more could you want as part of your night out! And the Swiss Cottage one has a cocktail bar too!

My whole family love eating at melovesushi and all have our favourites mine are their salads with the small tuna seaweed rolls, the kids love their bowls of chicken noodles and hubbie loves their chicken katsu curry. Happy people all round!
