Simply SUPERB!

I can honestly say it is one of the best means we have ever had. The staff were great but the best bit is the food, FANTASTIC!!

thank you!!

If you haven't tried it you really should, it's wonderful.

This place has seriously gone downhill recently! I used to go there a lot but recently every time I visit they do something else to put me off. first the prices rose to insane prices and there is no increase of standards with the food. (£9 for prawn noodles which have precisely 4 small prawns in the bowl.) They used to have a lunch discount of 20% which has now also disappeared into thin air. Last time I went in with my partner and the waitress approached me with tablet device saying if I filled in the online form I would receive a £5 voucher. I tried 3 times to fill it in but it would not work. My food came and I handed back the tablet saying it had not worked. I then saw the waitress informing who i presume to be the manager that it hadnt worked. The manager simply handed her a different tablet. I was horrified when i was then asked to try again when I was trying to eat my food. It completely ruined my meal out!!

Can only think that staff must have changed since the bad reviews, as my experience was completely different. Service was fine, no complaints on that front. Food was tasty and I thought we got a good portion for the price... especially given the location.

First time eating there and I came on to make a review as I was impressed.

Will definitely visit again.

Had a great time during a lunch break. I liked the decorations in the restaurant and better yet, the sushi!

bad idea to go there. we used to go there for convenience on our way into or out of london. the food is not the best, but for japanese as good as it gets in most places in london if you don't want to pay through your nose (that said, it is by no means cheap to eat there either!!

as we went there regularly we thuoght we partake in their loyalty scheme. bad bad mistake - a scheme to get you to come back it is alright because you never see any voucher: the staff have no clue how it works, every time go expect to get your voucher the points threshold needed for it miraculously has risen just above what you have accumulated!

Staff repeatedly were not willing (or able) to explain, and suggested to take it up with head pffice. The guys there were even worse - rude and quite happy for us to report them to trading standards: obviously they are used already to this kind of complaints ...

never again.

Desperately disappointing !! As a regular customer my take away order was incorrect and I was accused of lying.

The worst sushi I have EVER had.

There were 5 ( yes, five ) dirty and uncleared tables.

Service was surly.

If we never go again, it will be a million years too soon.

We had a take away from here and would definitely not recommend it unfortunately. The Edamame beans were over cooked, the tempura was ok but nothing special, the Gyozas were not cooked enough and the duck noodles were incredibly disappointing, with the duck over cooked and it seemed to be cooked in a vinegary sauce that just didn't compliment it at all. Wouldn't go there again which is such a shame as we had high hopes for it.

Eating at melovesushi was mainly due to convenience.. I didn't fancy the hotel food, this was nearby and I can't resist Japanese food. The restaurant has a bustling atmosphere and wasn't too intimidating for me to eat there on my own. The plum wine is good and not as expensive as some other London restaurants. Omelete nigiri was unfortunately a bit soggy and refrigerated, sashimi platter was good but portion not huge (some of the fish pieces were a bit see through). The chicken gyoza were perfectly cooked but I would enjoyed them more if they were piping hot rather than luke warm. The chicken udon soup was nice and hot.

Staff seemed busy, despite the restaurant being half full, but were polite.

Overall, not a disaster, but I might venture further afield for my sushi next time.
