Pizzeria Pappagone

For me this is the best value pizzeria in London. Amazing food amazing friendly service and a great atmosphere. You always leave feeling completely satisfied. I have been going for a while know and have always been made to feel very special here, They have a new winter menu which is just amazing, with wonderful wines and lovely new dishes which never cost my friends and I more than 20 pounds a head.

We were found a table for two this evening, even though it had been fully booked.

They made us so welcome and we had a delicious meal.......as always.

The food the service and the friendliness of the staff, making us always feel so welcome.

We would always reccomend this restaurant to all our friends.

Thankyou Pappagone for making our special evening..... 37 years Anniversary...so very special..!!

Usually very good, but terrible service today. Starter was good and came quickly followed by a 50 minute wait for the main course pizzas, which were burnt when they came. Then paying was a fiasco as their credit card machine didn't work. They swiped two cards five times worrying me that I'd be charged five times. All to no avail as their machine was broken. Owner wanted me to leave credit card details, but I didn't fancy paying a 6th time, so I paid cash. Then when I asked for a receipt, he got very argumentative and hurt that I was a bit put out after two hours in his restaurant. Denied the 50 minutes for a pizza, though I'm unclear how he could know as he only arrived at the end! They could have handled it much better, perhaps waived the cost, but more determined to be right than keep a customer. Shan't go back. I would write to them, but their website doesn't work either!

Have been going to Pappagone with family and friends since the opening night and will always choose it over the pizza place two doors down. Always busy so it's wise to book, although Marco does his best to fit in a samll group. Food fantastic - especially pizza and specials. Great value for money

A throw back to the good old days of old fashioned value for money.

Great friendly service, great rustic Italian food a great place to take good friends or family.

I visit for a pre match meal every Arsenal home game.

Marco and his team are top notch.

We have been going to pappagones for a number of years. The food is fantastic, particularly the pizzas. The staff are always helpful and friendly and you are greeted like a long lost relative who has returned.

My son is coeliac and so cannot eat food with gluten in. Generally that rules out Italian food but pappagones serve gluten free pasta which is fantastic.

Was introduced to this place by my lil sister. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much for them, to do for you.

Often take friends here for the first time, especially on their birthdays, as the celebrations are top stuff.

Highly recommend this place to all. Very child friendly!!

I Visit Pappagone on all arsenal home games on recommendation from my brother and i have to say i'm very impressed with the slick operation.

Always greeted at the door on arrival by a smiling happy face mostly Marco the owner who always seems to remember you.

The food is mainly pizza and pasta dishes but well prepared,taste authentic italian and keenly priced too.

I have started travelling to Pappagone with the whole family now regularly which is a trek for us as we live in Cambridge but well worth the travelling .All round a great family run, tasty, well priced place to eat A++++++++++

This is perhaps the best value for money restaurant in the whole of london. Apart from the quality of the food it is the athmosphere and the service that make all the difference. There must be at least 10 waiters and they are so incredibly organized and efficient, better than in any 5 star Mayfair nouvelle place. Owner Marco is mega friendly and usually greets the guests with a handshake by the door while italian music playing in the background. Where else do we get such a treatment? Nowhere. We usually have at least 2 Proseccos at the bar followed by a 3 course dinner plus a bottle of Red and the bill comes to 60 quid for 2 people without tip.
