Pho (Westfield)

My dad and I went to Westfield a few weeks ago and wanted something 'healthy' for lunch so decided on Pho. The queue was huge but actually went down quite quickly, within 10-15 mins we were served. We ordered two fresh lemonades, noodles with tofu and noodles with beef. It came to around £18 for everything. I really enjoyed the food, I thought it was delicious and fresh and so did my dad. We weren't really keen on the lemonades and I do think it is overpriced for what it is!
I also like the fact that they give you a mobile-type thing (can think of no other description!) which beeps and vibrates when the food is ready, therefore you can go find a seat in the meantime and not hang around the food stall.
Next time I'm in Westfield, I will certainly eat here again!

I tried Pho at Westfield for the second time since it opened and the food was not that great. I ordered the Chicken and Prawn stir fried noodles. The chicken was borderline. The standard was much lower than I expected and it was overpriced at £7.75, the juice was also overpriced at £2.95. I would not eat there again and would definitely not recommend it.

I was dragged (kicking and screaming..) along to Westfield by my daughter at the weekend, and although it is somewhat impressive, I am not a fan of giant shopping centres, but I was very impressed by Pho. I thought the food was absolutely delicious.
The queues were long, at which point I tried to convince my daughter we should leave Westfield altogether, but she was adamant that I should try the food from Pho. Again, I gave in...
After our wait, we found seats in the balcony area, and my daughter gave me the run down and how to eat our Vietnamese soups. We had a lovely side plate of different herbs, so we could decide ourselves how to flavour it. I liked this DIY touch. There was basil, mint, coriander, lime, fresh chili, beansprouts, and another couple of things which I didn't recognise.
I had the prawn soup with a chicken stock, and my daughter a tofu one, with a spicy veggie stock. We both thoroughly enjoyed them, and my daughter the fact that she had been right in that I would love the food at Pho.
I will definitely be back, though I think I'll go to their restaurants in town as opposed to Westfield next time... More to my tastes...

This place does not serve authentic Vietnamese food, the pho stock tasted like instant noodle soups! Awful!

Big queues, great food. An impressive food offering for a shopping complex and Pho is the cream of the crop. I especially like the fact that the kitchen is completely open and all food, rolls, juices are made right in front of the watching queue. The food continually impresses.

I have to agree with a lot of what has been said. It obviously isn't a neighbourhood cafe like the other two, but it is in a shopping complex. This surely is a sign of the success of the other two.
It is generally queued up if you're in here, and a bit rushed, but the food is fantastic, so when I have to spend a day shopping with my girlfriend there is only one place I'm heading for food.

I had various birthday presents to buy and the weekend big shop to do so we thought we would take advantage of the 2 hours free parking at the Westfield. As we arrived just after the lunchtime rush we thought we would grab a bite to eat. My wife loves the Pho up in Clerkenwell so I was keen to give the one in Westfield a go.
The fact it had a bustling open kitchen and a long queue was a good sign. We both went for the lemongrass chicken bun which was ready about 10 minutes after ordering. They signal your order is ready with little pagers. I thought it was very nice but not a great deal different to what you get at Wagamama. I might try the soups next time which looked very nice. The foodcourt in the Westfield is pretty comfortable but a bit too busy to be a relaxing spot to eat.
My lovely wife got me lunch but it only came two £17 for the two bun's with a beer and lemonade which was good value for money. I would go again if I was shopping but I don't see the foodcourt itself as a dining destination.

I really love this place. I work near Westfield, and Pho is a welcome addition to the Shepherds Bush restaurant scene, which isn't that good.
There are queues, but Westfield is a ridiculously busy place, and I think they cope admirably. There has only been one time in the last few months that my food came out wrong, and they corrected it very quickly.
I'm addicted to the spicy chicken soup and the prawn summer rolls.. So tasty and fresh!

Well first of all I have to admit to being slightly biased as my company supplies the customer paging system for Pho (amongst other restaurants at Westfield).
I have eaten here twice when visiting Westfield and have been really impressed, the spring rolls I had were fantastic and the noodle soup was full of flavour and extremely filling. Service gets a bit chaotic around the lunchtime rush but the queues are testimony to the great quality food. Well worth the short wait.

Sure, Pho might not be exactly what one would expect to get in the streets of Saigon. Of course it isn't! It's in a gleaming, busy shopping mall for a start. The food is damned tasty though, and the stocks are great - they're clearly freshly prepared from good ingredients. I'm a big fan of the beef, but the vegetable soups have a really deep flavour too. The meat itself is all tender and succulent, and the summer rolls have plenty of filling.
I recommend it, and the fact that there always seems to be a queue is probably a good sign too. I'm guessing the previous reviewer caught the height of the rush and got unlucky
