AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! Worst dining experience ever!!! Booked through toptable for my anniversary with a 50% of main courses. When we arrived, we informed to a waiter about our reservation, but that we would first have some drinks at the bar. There, instead of charging the drinks to the bill they asked us to pay them immediately. Then when we sat down, we told again about the offer that we booked to another waiter and he said we would get 50% off the mains. We ordered Steak and pork, and for 17 pounds the steak was just a steak, with exactly 8 fries!! no salad, no bread, nothing else. The pork was a tiny piece with a tiny bit of mash potato, and i had to leave a half on the plate because it was all fat!!! The waiters kept coming and coming to the table to check if everything was OK, which was quite annoying to have then so often! After finishing, we were still starving but it was like 6 pounds for a piece of cake, so we decided to order the bill and leave. The waiter came with the bill with no discount at all and expected us to pay with no explanation. When we said what about the offer, they said we had to order 2 courses EACH. We said that they should have said that at the beginning when we were ordering, so that we would have ordered something else. The manager was extremely rude to us and we were arguing for nearly 20 min with all the rest of the people looking at us! We didnt get an apology, and in the end the manager said the only way to give us a reduction would be to pay for other 6 pounds extra for a piece of bread! He added the bread to the bill and gave it to us in kitchen foil to take away!!!!!! He sent a waiter to give us the bread and charge for the dinner, and he just disappeared, and we left hungry, angry, without an apology and with a 6 pound bread to take away!!!!
Will never come back there!!!!!!!! RIP OFFF!!!!!!!!

I'd really recommend avoiding this place if you can. Food was average and not good value for money. Our meals were very slow to arrive, and one of our party was kept waiting for her food for quite a while after everyone else had been served.
There were also very few vegetarian options, so some of our group were very restricted in their choice.
The worst thing about this place though was the Manager's attitude. Despite the Assistant manager and the waiting staff doing their very best to make our experience a good one, with no provocation from us, the Manager was very rude, with little regard for his customers.
There are many much better places to eat in Wimbledon, all of which provide better value for money, and a better all-round experience. I hope the good members of staff at the Lambourne have the good fortune to get a new, better manager very soon, or are able to find better jobs at an establishment more worthy of them.
