The bowling alley is great, the food and service is not! the lack of training in staff and management is appalling, due to an error the waiter made we waited 40 minutes for our starters only to be brought out our main course, we sent the mains back and said we were not prepared to have starter and a mains at the same time, 10 minutes later we received our starter which was actually quite good we then waited 20 minutes for our main which was clearly reheated, the fries were cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen.

my main and several others were inedible and by this point we had had enough and asked to see the manager, she was less than helpful and said “what do you want me to do about it?” if someone is employed in this position they should be trained to deal with customer complaints quickly and satisfactorily and not looking at people with a blank expression and making those kind of statements! Eventually she offered to take 20% off the bill and give a free round of drinks which i thought was reasonable, however when the bill arrived only 10% of the bill was taken off and we needed to speak to the manager again, this took another 30 minutes as we were told she was busy dealing with something else. Finally when she did come over she back tracked on her promise and refused to give 20% and would only give 10% off the food. To summarise it took almost 3 hours to serve a table of 9 with terrible food of which 5 people out of the 9 have been ill of which we still had to pay £170. I would advise to use an alternative establishment and i will also be contacting environmental health.

Is this the best burger in town? Well, have not had many burgers as good as this, if that's any recommmendation. Food and drinks efficiently served after a great bit of fun bowling on an early Sunday afternoon with family . Staff were fantastic, at the bar, in the restaurant and the shoe attendant even handled my shoes with a smile!! This place is not only fun but it serves good food and the Sunday brunch was great value. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived and despite being a really busy afternoon we were not rushed and were looked after by attentive staff. Not surprisd it was so busy and will ceratinly return as it provides real fun and great value for money

I'm so glad that a friend recommended throwing my birthday bash here. Much more fun than a regular stale beer-soaked bar or stuffy lounge or restaurant. A lady named Sally was fantastic at helping me organise my evening in their stylish Private Room. From the canapes to the cocktails, everything was perfect and perfectly tasty. All my guests and I had to do was show up, bring our appetites and get ready to boogie.

Best birthday I've had in years!

After reading the reviews below I was shocked as had a totally different experience. A group of us came to the new Brick Lane venue for a birthday – we only planned on staying for some food as had tried to book lanes in advance but they were apparently booked up. Upon arrival staff could not have been more keen to help– there had been a cancellation on the lanes so they gave the opening to us which fit nicely around our table booking.

Our meals were all fab – most went for the burgers however steaks were also really good and the catfish was amazing! Again, service was great and the staff definitely looked the part! Although we had planned to move on to another venue afterwards, the atmosphere was so fun (with a great DJ playing) that we stayed all night and had cocktails in the bar which is really cool and runs alongside the lanes (which meant we could watch everyone bowling!)

I had never been to All Star before and would recommend it to everyone as it is just so much fun. Apparently there is a private bowling room there as well which is meant to be great (although did not have the chance to look at it) so I am trying to persuade my work to book it for an evening!

We went for brunch on a Sunday after bowling in the adjoining Lanes. The restaurant looks great and is well designed and laid out however the food was a disappointment. The decor and image would suggest an American Diner however the experience was far from it. First of all our food took about 45 minutes to arrive, even though there were only about 4 or 5 other tables seated. I ordered 'The Yankee' breakfast. Not sure if it was supposed to be like a breakfast you would get in the States or a mediocre English breakfast in a US themed restaurant. It just wasn't good enough for the price. We asked for ketchup (twice) only to be given a tiny ramekin with a dollop of ketchup in the bottom. The kid's fish finger sandwich came with a dipping sauce that was definitely not kid friendly (more like capers and mayo).

How is it that you could eat at a real Diner in the US for a fraction of the price, eat much better food and have great service? It's not that complicated... Just good, simple food served quickly and competently, that's all we want.

I was disappointed because the place really appealed to me and looked the part. Hopefully they can get their act together.

Having a friend down on the weekend we were looking forward to a cooked breakfast, but were unable to find anywhere but greasy spoons available to us. We thought we would give the All Star Lanes on Brick Lane a go as the menu looked quite good.

We ordered two cooked breakfast and a side, the food when it came consisted of two frozen hash browns which you get it most greasy spoons, a American pancake. This was a like a solid disk of overcooked flour that had been cooked in the microwave. The sausages were full of gristle and reminded me of Circa 1970's sausages The fried eggs were tasteless ans badly cooked.

I sent mine back asking it to be removed from the bill. My friend on the other hand managed to eat some of his, this i put down to his raving hangover.

When the bill arrived it came to £27.50 for one cooked breakfast, a bloody mary, a side dish and a Espresso.

This really was the worst breakfast i have ever had in my entire life, i realize now why there were only two other tables in the place. My advise for this sort of money you could be eating in far better places in London
