My wife and I visited this restaurant randomly as we couldn't get into Christophers Grill or Maxwell's, before a theatre show we had booked at the Savoy. And, clearly the God's were smiling on us. I have visited lots of restaurants in London over the years and this just might possibly be the little gem we have been seeking. It is a cosy French restauarant, wih a great choice of food and wine. And, the set menu was excellent value for money at £11.90 for a 2 course; and slightly more for a 3 course. But, I must compliment the staff, as I was quite shocked! Amazingly for London, they were "all" pleasant, helpful and really courteous. But especially Arturo (Arthur) from Brazil. A real class act, a splendid chap. Well done. He was friendly, helpful, funny and he sped our order along so we could eat and get to the theatre just in time. I will definitely go back and this time I aim to order something from the main menu. I noticed the table beside us tucking into Sea Bass and some thick juicy steaks. Do try this place, you won't be disappointed. And....ask for Arthur, who is undoubtedly the "king" of waiters!

Really great restaurant with lovely food, pleasant and helpful staff, nice atmosphere and all at a great price (try out there fixed price lunch menu which includes a glass of wine for under £10!) A restaurant in Covent Garden that ticks all the boxes!

Had a late Sunday night meal here recently and overall was pretty impressed. The menu reads like a greatest hits of French classics, and the place has a certain rustic charm about it.
Service was fine, nothing special but very friendly. Food was pretty decent, again nothing special but decent produce cooked well and served at a good price given the location.Grilled lobster and chips was very good for the £25 price tag (a whole decent sized lobster, chips & a good bearnaise sauce), I was told the filet steak was also good and the chocolate mousse was a perfect end to the meal.
The wine list was not huge but like the food not overly expensive.
Overall a good standby restaurant when after a quick bite when in the west end.

After reading the reviews here we weren't disappointed after leaving Cote last night.
The waiters were friendly and helpful. Our steaks were juicy, the garlic bread with sea salt was delicious and we loved our dessert! We paid £62 for 2 people, but had no wine and the garlic bread to share as a starter.
The atmosphere is cosy and service is quick. We would definately recommend!

A warm and friendly greeting and a great atmosphere. We were looked after by super staff and service was prompt. The food was really lovely and very reasonably priced. The king prawns and lamb shanks were beautifully cooked and delicious.
We felt really relaxed and enjoyed our evening very much. Thanks.

We went on a Saturday evening, and waited quite a while before being offered a drink. We ordered gin and tonics with olives before our meal, and the starters arrived before either - even though the drinks had been sitting on the bar for ten minutes. It was a very disappointing beginning to our meal. Then things improved enormously. The olives were delicious, as were our starters (asparagus and calimari) and main courses (tuna and lamb shank). Our waitress was extremely apologetic and we all ended up friends. The music was unobtrusive, the atmosphere cosy, and the food outstanding. In spite of the shakey start - which one doesn't allow for because it's not a cheap place - we would go again and would recommend it. It deserves a second chance.

Went to Cote last night with 3 friends..All in all good.
Good service, quality mains (lamb shank & fish pie in particular), excellent desserts (tarte tatin is lovely).
Pricewise we paid approx £30 per head, for shared starters and desserts with Wine.
Will be going back.

We went to this restaurant on Valentine's day having read the reviews on this site. The restaurant appeared completely full yet we had prompt service, delicious food and space. My partner had the sea bream and I the salmon. Both were cooked to perfection. The tarte tatin for dessert was also very palatable.
If there were a fault, then the background music was a little intrusive. Would we go again? A wholehearted yes! A first class, spacious, reasonably priced restaurant serving good food with friendly staff.
