Quite simply the best pizza I have ever eaten. All the products are imported fresh daily from Italy. Every day chopped wood arrives and is used in a traditional pizza oven. Everything is made from scratch and you can see your pizza dough being flipped. If you want to eat Italian food the way it was meant to be, eat here.

In a city with too many pizza-pretenders, this is the real deal!

A public transport meltdown left me stranded in Clapham Junction with friends whilst en route to Waterloo, so we happened across this place. A happy accident - despite being Friday night they squeezed 4 of us in plus baby buggy, and later when the baby started crying they found us a table when we asked to be moved outside. The food was great, tasted very fresh, I liked the way the pizza is served on the raised platters; the deserts weren't bad, although what we received wasn't quite the same as what was presented when we were choosing. Service was good, being Friday night staff were run rather ragged and when we moved outside they forgot us a bit, but overall they were very friendly and helpful. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Possibly the best pizza in London served by friendly and professional staff. Try the pizza DIEGO'S, it has buffalo ricotta and cherry tomato bursting with flavours. Or if you want to keep it simple go for Parma ham and rucola.

Trust me, I'm an Italian!

I have been a few times, most recently this weekend and think Pizza Metro is superb. The square pizzas served on large trays are delicious and the service is friendly and efficient. Slightly pricier than other pizza restaurants but then it's a classier establishment than your normal pizza parlour. Definitely recommended.

A fantastic venue! Celebrated my 30th here, very glad I did. 19 of us turned up, late though as I got the booking time wrong! Staff couldn't have been more helpful, and in no time the whole place was rearranged (despite being a busy Sat night) and we tucked into a set menu feast. Delicious starters of seafood salads, roasted veg and calamari, followed by the biggest pizzas I've seen, set on huge baking trays on stilts! Would highly recommend this place: great value, tasty food, fun atmostphere and friendly staff. Rare in London!

I loved this restaurant - 'loved' in the past tense. Unfortunately on a recent visit to Pizza Metro we learned they had changed the menu. The vast array of non-pizza/pasta dishes have now been removed and pizza options reduced substantially also. This would not be so bad if you could alter the pizzas on offer; however we quickly observed a message explaining that additional toppings would not be permitted – not the case in the past. It's such a shame as most of their best pizzas are now not included on the menu. That coupled with the fact that although we had made a reservation we were still left waiting 10 minutes before being seated, when there were clearly vacant tables available. I used to travel quite a distance to eat great pizza and unfortunately on this occasion I left so disappointed that I will not be putting myself out to go again.

My father is from Naples and I have been to Southern Italy many times. I like this restaurant a lot as the food is fresh and authentic. Pizza Metro Pizza used to be much better though and they need to watch their standards. They are also too pricey. They used to have a much wider range of Antipasti & main dishes and even the house wine was better. The original owners left and the new staff need to have the same passion for Neapolitan food. That said it is still the best Italian restaurant in London. Most others are pretentious, use cheap ingredients and have bland sauces (probably a bought sauce). Good Italian food is not pretentious and some of the best dishes such as pasta al forno (pasta in the oven), Zuppa di Fagioli(home made bean soup), gnochi al forno, etc are not made in Italian restaurants. Why?

I'm surprised about the bad reactions in some of the reviews on this restaurant; My partner and I went there on Valentines day without a reservation and they managed to squeeze us in. The service was really friendly. Our food came pretty quickly and was mostly really good. My pizza was excellent, one of the best I've had, if a little too big... I certainly plan to return.
