We arrived 10 minutes late and were told our table had been given away. The owner came to tell us that they did not differentiate between tables upstairs and the one we were given - downstairs by a swinging door and a speaker belting out music. The service was so awful, we shall never return. The food was ok, but by the time we ate I had lost my appetite.

ZAYNA .... What a find ... Having tried out so many Indian Restaurant all over London, I finally found this gem. This is no fusion or typical Balti house...you have to be there to witness some really authentic recepies (All yum). Our host was smart enough to realize that it was our first visit to Zayna and recommended their specialities as well as few things which were not in the menu. The choices and combination were spot on. I would never imagine having Prawns in Spinach sauce , but after trying this out at Zayna I must say that Chef is very very talented and will soon have his name all over the place. The food is perfectly complimented by the service, which is topnotch.... AWESOME

Took my partner to Zayna for his birthday on a Thursday evening having pre-booked our table for 2 at 7:30. The restaurant was busy with a nice atmospheric buzz. The food was excellent, however we were very disappointed with the service which was slow to the point where we felt ignored much of the time. Having finished our main course we waited, waited and waited some more for the dessert/coffee menu which never came despite our best efforts to attract our waiter. We eventually gave up and left without dessert or coffee, feeling frustrated and our celebration dinner spoiled. We made allowances for the restaurant being busy and possibly short staffed especially as the food seemed so delicious and were patient with the slow service initially but we were so disappointed with their customer service on the whole. No argument about the quality of the food though, what we did manage to get served to us was delicious.

Went here as we've recently got ourselves a 'TasteLondon' card - Zayna participates on a buy one, get the cheapest dish free basis. Found the venue on my mobile, expected a standard Indian restaurant - and was blown away by the experience. At one point, the owner came over to check we were having a pleasant meal and made small talk - it was appreciated and made the whole experience so personal. The photos on here don't do the place justice, either!
The food was exquisite, the atmosphere perfect, the service wonderfully attentive but not intrusive. For a starter, I had the cod fillets, my partner a wonderfully refreshing mango salad. For the main course, I chose a bowl of lamb chops, seasoned with garlic and spices, my partner chose a more standard affair of Tikka Masala. Her curry was a little hot for her palate so we swapped - and she devoured the lamb chops - they were absolutely fantastic!!
The wine list is reasonable and gave plenty of decent choice, and was not absurdly marked up.
A little expensive, perhaps, but worth a trip (and with the Taste London card, an absolute bargain!).
One of my favourite finds in London - we'll definitely be going back.

My husband and I had a delightful Saturday evening at Zayna. The staff were attentive and helpful, the food was fresh, flavourful and authentic - delicious as well. We are not the most informed people when it comes to North India/Pakistani dishes and, so we relied on some of the recommmendations, incuding Gurda Qeema, which was wonderful, despite what sounded an unusual ingredient list (at least to our ears). If you are looking for a pleasant experience, with high quality service and fine food, give this place a try. We thought it earned top marks.

We loved this place. Superb service, very friendly be asked but not intrusive. We asked the waiter to recommend some dishes and got very personalised advice - and the food which came was wonderful. Aromatic, fresh, with great ingredients. Definitely will come back next ime we're here - this is an unusually good place to eat. Strongly recommended.
