On Saturday night me and my partner visited The Real Greek in Spitalfields ...what a great experience that was!!!!!! The food was lovely and really tasty .The restaurant was really busy but the service was fast and efficient. Everyone was so friendly. I have to say the atmosphere there was amazing. We even was offered a free drink by a lovely lady called Caroline. That just made a whole evening even more special...thats what you call a good service!!! I would highly recommended that place.
Thank you guys for a good evening. We will be back...

This place was completely shambolic. The food was pretty poor and simply not enough for the 30 odd people at the Christmas party. When questioned they said that the food was appropriate to the number, however missed out half of the food listed on the set menu. I am currently looking at the dessert, I wish I could take a picture of the one piece of chocolate to be shared between 4-5 people. If i had one piece of advice...Avoid at all costs!!!! Especially as there are plenty of better adjacent to this dive.

went here last night with a friend and i am glad that i did not check the reviews beforehand as they are pretty bad.
experience wasn't bad at all. it was fairly quiet and the service was friendly and quick.
i am not a great fan of greek food. it's just a lot of meat - i like meat, but i prefer some more flavour and spice. that's just a personal preference though. i just find greek food generally quite bland.
food was fine. tasted fresh and arrived hot. portions very small for the price. our bill came to £25 each for food + one soft drink. we had 3 little mezzes each. it was enough food to fill us up but for that money we definitely could have had a proper feast elsewhere.
incidentally, all my greek friends hate this chain.

My greek friend and I decided to have lunch at the Real Greek after a look around Spitalfield Market on a Sunday last February. Everywhere else was very busy so we decided to give it a go. All in all, we were pretty disappointed.
We ordered 2 mezes (kalamari and dolmades), a couple of souvlakis and a bowl of chips. The food wasn't too bad but not great. The dolmades and the calamari were a bit too sweet. The souvlakis were a bit tough. The chips I don't remember, so probably nothing special.
It would have been ok if the portions hadn't been so small. I thought we'd ordered enough for a small lunch but I was disappointed when the mezes arrived, especially the kalamari - 5 little bits of squid for 5.75. The mezes are expensive when you add it all up so I don't think the food is good value for money at all. I've eaten in much better places for the same price.
Atmosphere was ok, it was very busy.
The service was pretty bad. We got our order through and our drinks quite quickly, but we waited at least 30 minutes for mezes to come. After waiting another 20, I had to ask for the souvlakis which they'd forgotten. No apologies. We were still hungry and would have wanted to order more but figured that if we had to wait as long again, there was no point. The service was quite random, messy and lacked enthusiasm.
We left there being a bit disappointed and still hungry. And the food wasn't that good. Don't think I'll go back.

By far the best meal I've had in a chain restaurant for a long time.
Sampled about 18 dishes between 4 of us on Saturday night and all were so much fresher and better than I had expected.
Mythos beers all round went down well and the sole waiter was quick, friendly and knew the menu well.
Was very quiet (maybe 6 tables) so not much atmosphere to talk about, but then the whole of the market seemed quiet.
As for value at £120 for 4 including several rounds of beers & service, I thought it was very good.
