Not really my cup of tea so take from this review what you will.
Nice interior in the style of an American-style diner with booths and New Yorker covers on the walls. It's a little brightly lit but it's generally comfortable. The staff are very nice.
The food is diner-ish: Burgers, steaks, chicken - mostly served in buns. There's also a nod to western jewish diaspora cuisine - Turkey viennas, salt beef.
I've been a couple of times - there's nothing at all wrong with the place and the food is always as described. It's just not my thing (hence the opening statement). It's a bit on the bland side and a little piri-piri sauce doesn't do enough. On a plus side it's reliable and you're not going to get a bad meal. Additionally the service is so much better than the 'Whadyawant' that you encounter in the other jewish places in the area.

Disappointing. Especially as I've eaten here so many times previously. Yes it’s still clean, parking is easy after 6.30pm and service is fast. And the portions are big. However all 4 of my Viennas were cold. The latkes were, as always, spot on. The salt beef was plentiful, of good colour and texture and – utterly tasteless. I guess that if I had been blind I’d not be able to tell what meat I was eating.
Re the Viennas, I didn’t make a fuss, but I told the pretty bimbo behind the cash desk in a very polite and calm way. She explained that the chef (chef?) inserted these in boiling water but didn’t check them! Had I wanted a detailed explanation for the failure I’d have asked. What I wanted was a reassurance that a repeat order next time wouldn’t result in (a) 4 more cold sausages and (b) the same gormless response.
Given the nature of the first part of the dialogue I though it best not to enquire. A pretty face and a decent bra do not in my view present a reasonable substitute for an intelligent response. But perhaps that’s just me?

Just spent a glorious two hours in a large family group enjoying a delicious Sunday lunch. The portions are enormous so how refreshing to find absolutely no problem at requesting extra plates and cutlery and being able to share many of the dishes ordered. The service was great with our hughly complicated mixed order cheerfully taken and beautifully presented. The prices are excellent value for food of such high quality, the atmosphere relaxed, friendly and really welcoming. This was our first visit. It certainly won't be the last.

Great attempt at looking like an upmarket New York steakhouse - revolving doors, comfortable booth seating, low but welcoming light. We ordered...:
Sides: Pretzels - 2 steaming hot large pretzels, wonderfully crisp on the outside, soft and chewy inside. Latkas - super-fine shredded potato and onion, well cooked, if not a tad greasy. Fries - delicious, crunchy matchstick cut.
Mains: Pastrami sandwich - HUGE serving of pastrami, proper new york style... Forget you are in Golders Green and you will feel like your chomping on a doozy from Katz's... (New Yorkers will know what I mean) and all for £8 (£6 if you takeaway) The chicken noodle soup was decent but not perfect...
Recommended!
