I live in Brazil since seven month and was back in the UK to finalise my visa. To show my son and his girlfriend a little of Brazilian flavour I was looking on the web for a good traditional BBQ and this restaurant seemed to have the most good reviews.
I booked table for Thursday night, 1800. It is located in a very unassuming part of London, make no mistake about that, but on the up side it has very easy access by train/tube from central London. It seems that this area has many Brazilian residents as there are Brazilian shops near by.
We were the only people there until about 20:00. The place is an old pub and has good atmosphere, very nicely done out and very clean. Loos (gents only checked) were impeccably clean and smelled fresh. The music was a mix of all sorts but not too loud.
The staff were the most friendly I have seen in a London restaurant. They were genuinely pleased to have us there and could not do enough for us.
Continuously checking that we were comfortable and if something was needed.
The buffet is good with authentic dishes to accompany the BBQ. The BBQ itself is very good and on par with my local restaurant outside Rio, the only difference being that in my local has fifteen people walking around with the meat, but they are serving ten times more people so they all are needed. The meat was well cooked with option to have well done cuts or rare.
Most importantly the caipirinhas were very nice indeed (well not as good as the one I make but, for a restaurant they were very good indeed.)
All in all, this restaurant offers some real Brazilian food, very good service and very good value for money. A definitely must go place if you are looking for something different, genuine and very good. Thanks for a great evening. This will be my default restaurant when back in London.
