Mself and a couple of Friends went to Tawa on Sunday evening for the first time and i have to say that the food was stunning.

Not since i left home to come to London have i tasted curried Pilchards so nice!!

The Puri was outstanding and the service exceptional.

I cant really put anything about Tawa down as the prices were reasonable too!

One tip though....don't have too much starter and popodoms as you'll find you can't get through all your main!!

They've had a refit! everything looks clean and modern, which makes the decor as enjoyable as the wonderful food.

it is the best indian in camden -and their takeaway isn't oily.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic. One of the best Lamb Passanda's around! The decor isn't great but the atmosphere is warm, inviting, unassuming and pleasantly private.

Likewise the service is prompt, quiet and unobtrusive with seemingly every effort made to make you feel comfortable and uninterrupted. The prices are very reasonable and it's perfectly possible to pop in for a cheap meal or celebrate a special occasion with a bigger budget.

All in all a brilliant restaurant and a hidden gem - I highly recommend Tawa.

visited at 7pm in the evening - one hour after opening. The welcome was just about average. Starter of Onion Baji was well presented but tasted as if warmed up from lunch time, main meal of lamb gosht- asked for it to be fairly hot but very mild dish served, the pilau rice was a good serving for one and the chapati was well made. The service was friendly but slow and unattentive.

The meal with a small brandy and one bottle of cobra £19.55

Sorry but unable to recommend this

Restaurant.
