Normally I do not write reviews, but felt I really should as I felt very misled by the other highly positive reviews here. I am of Indian origin and have grown up on Indian food so I would like to think I know what I am talking about. The food was just very average and the main problem was that it was far too oily. The main courses were dripping in oil, to the extent that we left most of it uneaten. The taste was not particularly authentic either. The imli chutney used in the aloo chaat for example had an almost chinese sweet and sour taste to it which should not be the case. I would definitely not recommend, even at 50% off. Shame.

I went to Zeen a couple of Fridays ago with two friends. The restaurant was almost full and the atmosphere was good. The starters, kebab and stir fried duck, were both really excellent. However two of the main dishes, chicken madras and lamb rogan josh were a bit of a disappointment. The owner is the daughter of supermarket curry king, Sir Ghulam Noon, and we all felt that we were eating something from his Southall industrial site. Small portions too. The seabass was a lot better. The accompaniments, rice and roti, were fine as were the vegetable dishes.
Will I be going back? Possibly, although I won't be in a hurry. But if I do I will definitely order grills for the main course instead of the curries.

Maybe I'm used to more traditional curry houses, but Zeen is trying to be contemporary in its decor, presentation and food which doesn't work if the food isn't outstanding - and its not.
We just had poppadums to start, which weren't the usual big discs as you'd expect, rather they were like small snacks (think Discos) out of a bag with poor attempts at pickles - mango chutney and a bland coriander dip.
The main course came on contemporary white crockery, with the rice nicely shaped in a dome. The curry - a chicken madras - came in a matching bowl. It was all luke warm and tasted like supermarket curry. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't authentic curry.
While it wasn't unpleasant, I feel robbed. Curry houses should be just that - not fancy restaurants, or even trying to be. I've also been to Chutneys, next door but one to Zeen, which is a very unassuming place, but the food was amongst the best curry i've had at a reasonable price.

What a great place.
No fuss, good service, reasonable price and nice to have options such as soft shell crab as a starter, without paying the earth for it.
Kebabs were also good and beautifully presented.
Giving the restaurant the benefit for my main, by saying that I chose wrong (the prawn curry was just like an average bengali indian curry), but all in all we will be back for sure.
