dose espresso
Absolutely my favourite local coffee shop (which is praise indeed considering it is right next door to the excellent Kipferl). Friendly staff, great food and good coffee. Try the pesto & avocado on toasted sourdough for breakfast - you won't be disappointed!!!!

dose espresso
The smallest and loveliest place to eat on Long Lane. Soup was amazing - full of flavour - and their sandwiches and filled croissants all looked super-fresh and delicious. My brownie was perfect and I'm definitely going back for one of their hot chocolates. Coffee looked good too - they obviously know their stuff.
The only downside is that there's only a small 'eat-in' space but if you're lucky enough to work nearby, the take-out option is the way to go. If you've ever felt robbed by the sandwich chains up the street, try here - you'll never look back.

Gourmet Chick - 7/10
Thursday, July 02, 2009 - From the takeaway salad selection the pepper and fetta salad was light and refreshing for a bargain 3 quid. The salad was packed with spinach leaves and cherry tomatoes along with a dash of vinaigrette dressing...Run by yet another enterprising Antipodean, Dose prides itself on being an owner operated artisanal espresso bar. Like Lantana the coffee is made by a gorgeous La Marzocco espresso machine however using Square Mile beans...If you work in the area this is the best coffee around.

Thursday, March 12, 2009 - Barely a month old and I’m well impressed. The usual wonderful grub that we now associate with the antipodean know-how on establishing über cafés in London. James the owner, barista and coffee god blabbing away while perfecting a cup. The Flattie that came with a wonderful Rosetta was instantaneously divine. Strong and avaricious, it tasted as if it was concocted with passion, bravo!
Londonelicious
Wednesday, March 04, 2009 - In the space of 24 hours, two separate people asked me if I had been to Dose yet. I hadn't! And I wasn't sure how I had missed the opening of London's latest and greatest little coffee bar…The Coffee: Square Mile. Only my absolute favorite decaf ever. The Latte: Great. The Service: Chatty. Friendly. Like it should be. The Verdict: I like it here.
