your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
Me and my boyfriend had lunch here a few weekends ago for our anniversary and really enjoyed it.
The food was really good, I had a seafood soup for starters, followed by red mullet and then tarte tatin for dessert... and they were all delicious! Really fresh and tasty, some of the nicest food I've had at a restaurant for a while.
The service was really friendly and the atmosphere cosy.
It was a bit on the pricey-side (if I remember about £70 between the 2 of us which was 3 courses each + bottle of nice wine + service). But for special occasions definitely worth it. They also gave us a 25% off voucher for our next visit which we'll definitely use!

We went there on Sunday 6th December for our 42nd wedding anniversary - in the evening. We went on recommendation. The website shows the menu and also shows a set Sunday Menu. However on the A La Carte and Brasserie menus it did not stipulate these were unavailable on Sundays. We were very disaapointed and nearly walked out. I wish we had. We chose the luxury platter of prawns. shrimps and smoked salmon to share ( there was only shellfish and steak available apart from the set menu which included two roasts - not very french!) The seafood was tasteless - prawns with shell on were full of eggs and had no flavour at all. They had run out of Pinot Noir wine. Our fillet steaks came up and it was zero for presentation. Supposed to be medium but were raw in the middle. The chips resembled overside chunky wedges and all that accompanied it was one flat mushroom with breacrumb topping - watery and no flavour. We did complain nicely and our bill was reduced and we were told that on a Saturday the A La Carte would be amazing. - I doubt it - will definitely not be going back
