Second time I've been to Kanna Thai on a KGB deal voucher. Very impressive food, in fact real quality. The restaurant has a downtime between 5.30pm-7.30pm and you can eat a 3 course meal for 11.95 if you don't catch a voucher.
Even though the menu was restricted to 3 dishes for main course, they were cooked really, REALLY well. I had roast pork with honey sauce, pak choi and egg fried rice and it was very tasty! My dinner partner had seafood noodle in spicy garlic and chilli which had just enough fire but not overpowering the other flavours.
They have an impressive non alcoholic menu of drinks too. I had roasted coconut juice and partner had Lychee juice. Neither was laced with (unneccessary!) sugar, simply natural, presented beautifully like a cocktail with umbrellas and fruit. In mine, pieces of tender coconut and sliced Lychee in the other.
And all served with a smile in a very clean restaurant with cosy tables and a sophisticated decor that incorporates subtle touches of Buddhas, flickering candles and pictures of Thailand, all in all allowing me and my companion to feel relaxed, eat and talk in the reassurance of being very well looked after.
We'll be back for more yummy food soon....

I live a long long way from London and from any Thai restaurants for that matter. My brother and I met up at Hammersmith Station one day for a shopping trip in December just before XMAS. We were both very hungry and I wanted to have Thai food for lunch.
I knew that Kanna was some where close by so we decided to walk from the station using googlemap. It wasn't long before we arrived to the Kanna. We were well greeted by a lovely & smiley waitress. She took us to a table. The seats were comfortable and the atmosphere was quite relaxing.
We had a mixed platter and an extra chicken satay for my son who was 3 and a half. My son had the whole portion of the satay for himself. He loved the satay and the sauce. Both my brother and I had different noodles dishes. My goodness! They were so yummy (well we kind of share our food). It is so hard to find Thai food near where I live but it is even harder to find any Thai restaurants that serve a wide variety of Thai noodles soup and dishes.
We are THAI and we give KANNA two thumbs up for doing such a brilliant job. Yum yum!

Kanna was recommended to me by a friend who was really excited about this place in Hammersmith. I like Thai food a lot but in the area you cant really find other than restaurants offering average Thai food.
I went there last Friday with 2 other friends it was one of the best experiences I had in some time, not with Thai food but in general with any cuisine.
Fresh and tasty, I also noticed the meat was very tender but what gives this place a '10' for food is a simple yet gourmet approach to cooking.
And of course the service, polite and quick.
Overall, a very pleasurable experience.

Excellent Thai restaurant with a slightly unusual menu. Have eaten there twice with my g/f and can't find a single thing to moan about (save perhaps for the lack of other customers - a bit of atmos is nice - but if that's the biggest complaint then you can't really grumble).
I hesitate to give 9 or 10/10 as that sounds a little bit dodgy - rest assured it's a really great restaurant which deserves more custom (possibly thanks to Latymers further down the street - one of those "Thai Pubs" so a cheaper alternative.....)
