I am not sure which Tay Do this is as there seem to be 2. I have used this one for 7 yrs or so, by which I mean the one with the northbound bus stop just outside... Well I love this place. Byo, ok prices, tend to get the fresh rolls and chilli squid and also love morning glory with garlic. They do a lunch menu which I have tried though it's a massive portion u tend not to get much meat in relation to rice veg etc. Still understandably as it's only a fiver... The best thing is the chilli squid and stuffed squid but not sure if they still do it. Pho looks great with plenty of fresh accompaniments but haven't tried it as not a big fan of soups/ pho. Bargainous and reliable... I would recommend. Only thing they could add is bahn mi!

Ive been going to Tay Do for 6 years now and I love it. It's got formica tables crushed together, waiters who serve at the speed of light it seems and the nicest Tofu salad i've ever eaten.

I reccomend Fresh spring rolls - served cold with pork and prawns - yum.

And a personal favourite is the Pho Bo - HUGE quanitities of Beef broth - possibly served slightly less rare that in Vietnam itself and a great deal less spicy but that's good for me (and they do give you fresh chillies to put in yourself)

Nothing ever seems to cost more than £10 a head even though you eat until you stuff yourself silly. Starters are £4-5 and mains £6-8. BYO is without a doubt the best bit about this place.

Worth the walk!!!! Long Live Tay Do.

Thursday, April 30, 2009 - Like most or all of the restaurants on Pho Mile, there is the usual redeeming feature of no service charge added to the final bill…Rice vermicelli with chargrilled prawns: This one dish meal comes with a dipping bowl of nu?c ch?m (a concoction of fish sauce, lime, water and sugar). The idea is to tip the latter in its entirety to the bowl of noodles, essentially to flavour and wet the noodles. A joyous dish to behold.
