Went here for a lazy Sunday afternoon lunch and couldn't fault it. Ingredients were really fresh and food was nicely prepared. We had been recommended to go for the Vietnamese dishes rather than what you might get in a Chinese or Thai restaurant and it was good advice - the spicy beef and pork soup was delicious as were the cubed beef and fresh prawn rolls....all is all a v. enjoyable meal which reminded us that you can get a decent meal in London without paying the earth for it. Will be back!

Dos Hermanos

Dos Hermanos

Thursday, July 02, 2009 - During a recent lunch at Tre Viet, one of the Vietnamese places that dot the length of Mare St in Hackney, it was hard to escape the thought that our choice of their establishment for a meal was all a bit of a faff...Summer rolls were tired and lacked freshness, beef in betel leaves the same. Add to this a droopy green papaya salad and our meal took its place as the most dispiriting Vietnamese we have experienced since we last went to Song Que Cafe on The Kingsland Road.
