Cafe Rouge (Greenwich)

Sitting out side Cafe Rouge in Greenwich with my dog sleeping at my feet and enjoying a nice lunch while people watching is now one of my favourite things to do.
We were there last weekend for Sunday lunch and the place was quite busy. The staff are superb here and always make you feel very welcome. Funny thing is that all the staff seem to be French except one girl who had a French accent like the policeman in Allo Allo? Even my dog looked at her funny! Perhaps you have to be French to work there in order to uphold the brand standards or be able to sound a bit French if your actually from Bolton?
We had soup and pate to start. The Pate was absolutely lovely with crusty bread. Both had fish cakes for main all washed down with oodles of sparking water. Good food, fab staff and easy on the wallet too.
The food is always served in a very timely manor by a great team of people who all work very well together. Like I said before, this is my chosen place for a local light lunch and apart from the dubious French accents here and there, I cannot fault what they do in any way.

We live nearby and therefore come here quite often. Every time we come back it's a really great experience! The food always tastes amazing, is made from fresh ingredients and there's a a great variety of choice on the menu. Service is very friendly, informal but professional. Meals are served at a good pace and sometimes its shocking how fast the mains come. Certainly a place we love coming back to!
