Cafe Rouge (Southgate)

Service is good, staff are friendly and the food is great. Yes, sometimes they seem a little under staffed but they always manage and the atmosphere is relaxing so no problem with waiting a little longer now and then.

I'd agree with the other reviews, extremely long waits due to there not being enough staff for a restaurant of this size, the manager usually looks like he is doing everything to avoid actually serving people.

The quality of the food is a let down. I've been both in the evening and for breakfast.

At breakfast I've been served an almost burnt omlette. At dinner food that is cold.

They changed their menu recently and there are virtually no vegetarian options left. When I asked the waitress to point them out she started telling me all the fish options!!

Won't be going back.
