Cafe Rouge (Ruislip)

First visit at lunch yesterday, and quite early so a pretty quiet restaurant. I probably eat in a Cafe Rouge once a year and perceive trends downmarket and away from authenticity in their ambiance and food. My Salade Nicoise and omelette frites were both pretty mundane but I couldn't fault the service or indeed the value in the context that I chose a two course lunch for £8.50. I guess I'd rather pay another couple of pounds and eat food i positively enjoyed, in all.

Oh, and if you describe a dish as containing anchovies, its not OK not to put them in.
