The restaurant was full on a Monday evening (which says a lot) and everyone seemed as happy as my group.

The food was absolutely excellent. All four of us were delighted with every course and the service/atmosphere very good. Professional throughout.

Marginally pricey? Maybe. But good value nevertheless for a memorable night out.

My girlfriend and I ate here last night using the 50% off voucher. INCREDIBLE! Really good food, good value with the voucher but worth it still without. The dishes were well sourced, cooked and presented. The wine list was good but not over the top and reasonably priced too. Service was good and have nice touches you would expect, good selection of homemade breads and a delicious onion veloute. Ate asparagus(6/10) and confit of suckling pig (9/10). Sweet potato ravioli (7/10) and braised brill (9/10). Chocolate fondant (9/10) and GARIGUETTE STRAWBERRIES,VANILLA BEIGNET, CLOTTED CREAM AND BEETROOT SYRUP (11/10). Venue and facilities were as expected, top notch. All in all great. One thing that annoyed me a little was that the tip on the bill was calculated before the discount, so it was actually nearer 20% than 10%. I had intended to over tip as the food was that good but would have appreciated being able to make that choice myself. However, one of the best meals I have had in months. 9/10. Well done, we will be back.

I have been a reguar at Patterson's for a few years, and it never cease to impress! I normally go for their lunch offer with clients, but I recently went for an evening meal with my husband and was very impressed by their regular menu.

i had poached salmon for starter, followed by lamb with sweetbread. Everything was cooked to perfection, the food was so imaginative and tasty! My only complain would be that the portion were so generous, I was afraid I would not make it to dessert! But i did! I had the chocolate fondant, which would have been worth a visit on its own!

Service in the evening is just as good as lunch time. The hostess, Mrs P herself i think, was as charming as usual!

Will be back soon!

Went for dinner on Tuesday. Service was dreadful, food was ok. Not really worthy of the hype. Disappointing - shame.

On a recent sojourn to London I wanted to complete an evening at the theatre by taking my partner for a beautiful meal, and Patterson's didn't disappoint. I considered several possible venues before making my mind up and I can honestly say that I have seldom enjoyed such a pleasant dining experience.

On arriving slightly before our booked time we were immediately shown to our table and offered drinks - very impressive treatment on a busy Friday evening! Service was friendly yet respectful, and the exquisite food was wonderfully presented and brought at perfectly-timed intervals.

We both enjoyed 3 courses, with the medium-rare sirloin and langoustine tortellini proving to be particular highlights. The only slight criticism I can level is that the close proximity of other diners doesn't lend itself well to private conversation, but this is a problem which affects most busy restaurants and did little to detract from a wonderful visit which I very much hope to repeat in the not-to-distant future.

We went to Patterson's using tastelondon and got £45 off our meal. The food was excellent. I would especially recommend the scallops which I had to start. They come with squid, black risotto and pesto and were delicious. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, and didn't harrass us to leave when we were nattering over our last bit of wine. I would definitely go back to Patterson's- its location is convenient, the food is superb, and the staff are down to earth. V enjoyable

Booked for a Saturday night with the "50% of total food" offer. Very good, but it really means "50% off set 3 course menu - supplements will be charges at full value offer". That aside - very good.

Friendly, efficient staff. Squab starter very good. Beef was delicious and the fullness of the portion was a nice surprise (included chive and cheese filled baked potato!).

Dranks 1 1/2 bottles of wine, desserts very good. Didn't charge me for one gin and tonic - £135 in total.

felt very West End and a good night out. A well run restaurant.

went to pattersons on a busy night friday and we were pleasntly greated at the entrance and then we had a drink in the lounge overlooking the beautifull fish tank ,afterwords we were shown to our table very tight between 2 other tables (they sure use their space well) the food was ok but not amazing for the price that is charged and lots of suplements every where my wife had scallops and they add £2,50 extra on top of the £10 just for 2 small scallops I mean they could give one extra for the extra charge ,then the fish was supplemented ,the sirloin of beef ,the foie gras just have a look at menu thank god for the special offer because its not worth a visit in my eyes the dishes were not worth the extra charge ,they were cooked correctly but nothing exciting to brag about ,the service was not good in my eyes they served the amuse bouche before we had bread and then when we asked for extra bread they took 20minuts to bring us bread and it looks like you are just allowed 1 bread roll a customer common we are in crisis but this is ridiculous and just one nice lady spoke with us she was nice possible the manager, the rest need to have some social skills to look after customers like human beings and not cattle in this time of financial crisis they should look after all the cutomers the same way and thats not depending on what we spend .we for sure shall not return ,yes the food was ok but thats it just ok not worth the money or the time.

let me start with why I decided to try this establishment; the food. Having seen the menu and the reviews I was truly inspired by ideas such as scallops with caramlised endive and citrus fruits or paupiettes of dover sole with tortellini of lobster and crab. Unfortunately, the results did not meet my admitedly high expectations. The scallops with endive lacked the citrus flavours I was expecting or that lovely fresh bitterness of endives I was so hoping to balance the dish. The dover sole came across as a huge mound of fish with an intense reduced shellfish sauce made into a foam. No subteltly; it look's good, but has no real creativity to it. Maybe it was the chef's night off, but I've had considerably better for a 1/3rd of the price and could easily beat what I was given with my own cooking skills on an off day.

To be fair, the desert was amazing (but sounded awful) and proved a highlight, but maybe the reason I didn't particularly enjoy the evening was the service I received. It was mostly prompt and efficient, but there was a constant undertone of not wanting my custom. Whilst I must agree I wore jeans, at 100 pounds a head I expect some expediency. It's the small things such as ignoring the 40% discount offered on this website (I'm sure I could have argued it, but food hardly factored in my bill), sitting me in a corner when it's not busy and a somewhat failed attempt at truely invisible background service. Overall, not bad but a truely underwelming experience that lacked the glue that creates fine dining. Maybe, a bad night - and I'm sure if you one of the accepted crowd it will be a more pleasant experience. Clearly I am not an approved member, and the food on the evening I was allowed to attend wasn't worth the fight.

My second visit to Pattersons and again it was great on all fronts.

The food was slightly on the small side but very rich so was enough if having 3 courses. The scallop starter and pork 3 ways were the highlights.

The winelist seems to have expanded with a lot more choice than on my previous visit and we had a very good Montagny 1er cru.

The place was busy and even without music the place had a nice buzz.

Not cheap but then were in Mayfair is.
