We dined here on 50% off. I found the restaurant to be rather lacking in ambience, especially as we were sat at the back in close proximity to a group of loud and very obnoxious pensioners.

The food was very flavoursome. However, the lamb I ordered was meant to be lamb 3 ways, one of them being a stuffed saddle of lamb which they replaced with a lamb chop and didn't tell me about it. Very naughty of them. Unfortunately I only noticed when I thought back to it the next day.

The waiting staff were very professional, if a bit cold.

Three of us enjoyed an exceptional meal last Thursday evening at Patterson's. So often London restaurants fail to live up to their billing, but this one definately did. From the amuse bouche right through to dessert the quality, portion size and presentation were first class and the service was faultless.

I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Four of us had an excellent meal at Patterson's last night. The food was inventive and presented beautifully. Using a 50% discount, we paid just £20 (plus a small supplement for a few individual dishes) a head for 3 exquisite courses, which I felt was incredible value. Of course, non-budget wine and water then hiked the price up! We didn't mind too much though, as it was a special night and we enjoyed our meal immensely.

The service was very good and we enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. Some of the better restaurants in London can sometimes feel intimidating and sterile, but Patterson's lacks that stuffiness and was just full of people enjoying their food and their company.

One area for development is the vegetarian choice, which was limited to one dish per course. My husband loved his food and we'd like to go back soon, but won't until the menu changes on the website, offering him (who is vegetarian) something new!

Upon first entering Pattersons restaurant, I was wowed by the decor - beautiful, intimate setting, with romantic lighting; and since my first visit, they have installed a stunnning tropical fish-tank above the bar, which is quite striking. The staff are consistently attentive and friendly and there is a warm, calm ambience to the place; looking about at other diners, they always seem to be smiling! My first few visits were just with my husband, but upon visiting one time with a group of six friends, I found that the restaurant is really very versatile - what had originally struck me as a 'coupley' venue was actually perfect for hosting a crowd of friends and everyone had a fantastic time. We have taken many friends since whom have all been impressed and returned to the restuarant on several occasions.

The food at Pattersons, I have to say, is absolutely OUTSTANDING. If this place does not get a Michelin star in the next year, I will be shocked. Delivery of food is always prompt and presentation could easily compete with the Gordon Ramseys and Tom Aikens of the culinary world. I have never recieved a dish that has disappointed and always leave with a happy full belly! Fantastic wine list too. I can't praise it highly enough!

First place in we ate in London when we visited in early June and what a great choice!

Top to bottom, it was an excellent experience and we will definitely return on our next trip.

Don't miss it, you won't be disappointed.

Visited Patterson's for my fiance's birthday. We arrived early and staff seated us at our table without any fuss. I found the food to be of good quality, beautifully presented, and tasted great although the fois gras terrine was a little salty for my taste. The main course of pork belly was very good. Portion sizes for both of us were excellent and we left feeling very satisfied, so much so I could not handle a pudding. Would I visit again....yes, although a main course and a pudding will be my meal of choice next time!

My Husband and I ate here for his Birthday last night.

Lovely place, quite small but really nice decor and lighting. Food was amazing, it was a set menu, 3 courses for £40 but the food was 5* service was good, friendly people.

We would eat here again. Our only small complaint was the tables for two were too close together, we did complain where they offered us to move but the table would then have been a table very close to a party of 12 party girls! So we stayed and they offered us a glass of bubbly!

I dined at Patterson's last night with a group of seven friends and had an extremely disappointing experience. We waited a very long time before anyone came to our table. Once we ordered, we once again waited a very long time (about 40 minutes) before we got our starter. Once we were ready to order dessert, the manager told us we had to vacate our table because another party was waiting to be seated. I have never heard of such a thing. The food was just ok for the price.

I certainly do not recommend this over-priced place.

forgot to add this to the previous review however: No one, but, no one should be serving 2004 New Zealand Savingnon Blanc - it was good then, it is an abomination now !!

Having read all the previous reviews I had high hopes for this place. Taster of chard cream was lovely. Crab cakes were 95% potato and unsealed on the sides and soggy, salsify and trendy shoot salad was good however the chive butter sauce tasted as though someone had been a bit too heavy with the marigold boullion powder. My main course of lamb could only be (and this is not a compliment) be described as nice, far to greasy. Tournedos requested rare, turned out to be sirlion well-done. Staff were lovely however (and I am aware that this is a personal gripe) I do not like my wine glass being contantly refilled and I really object to being brought an unasked for extra bottle of water (which would go on the not unsubstantial bill). Really hoped this would be the gem that I am still searching for in London, but sadly not on this evenings experience
