My Husband and I ate here for his Birthday last night.

Lovely place, quite small but really nice decor and lighting. Food was amazing, it was a set menu, 3 courses for £40 but the food was 5* service was good, friendly people.

We would eat here again. Our only small complaint was the tables for two were too close together, we did complain where they offered us to move but the table would then have been a table very close to a party of 12 party girls! So we stayed and they offered us a glass of bubbly!

I dined at Patterson's last night with a group of seven friends and had an extremely disappointing experience. We waited a very long time before anyone came to our table. Once we ordered, we once again waited a very long time (about 40 minutes) before we got our starter. Once we were ready to order dessert, the manager told us we had to vacate our table because another party was waiting to be seated. I have never heard of such a thing. The food was just ok for the price.

I certainly do not recommend this over-priced place.

forgot to add this to the previous review however: No one, but, no one should be serving 2004 New Zealand Savingnon Blanc - it was good then, it is an abomination now !!

Having read all the previous reviews I had high hopes for this place. Taster of chard cream was lovely. Crab cakes were 95% potato and unsealed on the sides and soggy, salsify and trendy shoot salad was good however the chive butter sauce tasted as though someone had been a bit too heavy with the marigold boullion powder. My main course of lamb could only be (and this is not a compliment) be described as nice, far to greasy. Tournedos requested rare, turned out to be sirlion well-done. Staff were lovely however (and I am aware that this is a personal gripe) I do not like my wine glass being contantly refilled and I really object to being brought an unasked for extra bottle of water (which would go on the not unsubstantial bill). Really hoped this would be the gem that I am still searching for in London, but sadly not on this evenings experience

My wife took me to this restaurent for my birthday, which was a very pleasant surprise. Although well presented, I found the interior rather clinical and dark, so much so, it was a tadd difficult to read the menu. There wasn't exactly a 'vibe', instead rather dull and boring. Some might call that relaxing, but I prefer a little more 'hip ambience' in my eatery. You felt very concious if you spoke at any reasonable level. I equate this with a poor atmosphere.

Our wine arrived, not properly chilled, which for a £20 bottle of house plonk, I found very surprising! It would have really benefitted from an extra hour in the fridge.

As I've read in another review, this is not really the place to go if you're a veggie, which I am. I had no choice at all other than the 1 starter and 1 main on the menu, the starter being a rather pretntious vegetable soup that my wife and I both felt was exceptionally lacking in soup, rather an array of scraps of vegetables. and the spoon you were supplied was tiny! Perhaps it makes you feel like you've got more soup if you have to keep filling up your spoon!

I had a Goats Cheese and courgette quiche as my main, but unfortunately the cheese, as is often the case with Goat's cheese, was very overpowering. I was told by my wife that the chef would have prepared a veggie main for me, outside of the menu, but I always find this a little odd. If there are other veggie options, why aren't they on the menu? you can have a veggie special can't you? A previous review commented on a poor veggie risotto, which wasn't present on this occasion - just as well by the sounds of it.

Pud was great. A delicious feast of chocalate ice cream, mousse and bites, although with a 'chilli' addition - my son (7) didn't like this at all. I wasn't completely convinced, but the non-chilli choc stuff was lovely.

We took advantage of a 50% off deal, so ended up paying £70 instead of £140. Just as well, as I would have said that £140 was well over the top for what was on offer! At £70 it was a very good deal.

Using your website we booked a table at Paterson's for this past Monday evening, May 14th. I can only say it was exceptional in every way. The food was superb and the service was attentive but unobstrusive. I had the roasted breast of squab as an appetiser and it practically melted in my mouth. I highly recommend this restaurant and the next time I'm in London will definitely plan on eating there again. The location is terrific, too.

Seems like this place doesn't need another rave review, but it would just be churlish not to tap this out: imaginative, precise cooking with outstanding ingredients. Sure, it's beautiful, too, but it's the thought of putting together fish or lamb cooked two ways, and the palate behind the complementary ratatouille, basil oil or savoury vanilla cream that's really impressive.

And it's a gorgeous sexy room - though the lobsters in one blue tank frightened away one crustacea-phobic diner. Above all, we loved the hugely generous and knowledgeable service. The restaurant dismantled its most expensive main dish so that I could have part of it as a starter, offered to replace items if they didn't meet my crispy-crazed friend's liking (in the event, she loved the lamb and wished she'd also gone for the highly recommended scallops on pork belly), and gave me sizeable 'tastes' of wine. A new hot favourite - the first in six years of devouring great London grub (I also love chez Bruce, The Square and J Sheekey). A touch more intensity in flavour in part (no more) of each dish, and if all the staff were as wonderful as our red-headed maitre d', this place would well deserve a Michelin star. But maybe they don't want the stress - they are certainly a charmingly smiley lot.

Took my husband with friends and family to Pattersons for his 40th birthday , was given a private room for the evening which was a nice surprise . Food was out of this world not a single complaint even the vegetarian food was tasty and enjoyable. Service was fantastic , friendly and polite . All very relaxed never felt rushed or that you had to be out within a certain time .

Will be returning .

I booked this restaurant on London-eating after the reading the positive reviews and I was not disappointed.

The service was excellent, the atmosphere was enchanting and the food was amazing (probably the best I've ever had in my short life!) Great value too.

I had booked the table for my girlfriends birthday, however, I propsed during the day, and Patterson's was the perfect setting for a double celebration.

Had a wonderful meal at Pattersons on Friday 13th. I took my girlfriend as a surprise after reading the reviews that had been posted. We were not disappointed and both left with the thought that it would definitely not be the last time we ventured there.

The presentation was outstanding and the flavours were exceptional.

Excellent all round and our compliments to everyone at Pattersons for giving us a great start to a brilliant start to our weekend in London.

Thanks for a fantastic time.
