Thought the food was ok until a couple walked in with their dog - and was seated! The adjacent table also noticed this and approached the manager. I was appalled to hear her say she guessed she wouldn't see the customer again.

Surely this goes against food standards and highly unhygenic. And the manager's reaction was irresponsible, selfish and outright rude.

Went there yesterday night (Saturday), after reading the reviews on this site and must say that, we had a great night in all areas. The restaurant caters for all ages, all budgets and all occasions. The atomsphere was very relax,with a fantastic choice of food and a vast choice of wine. Superb freshly made pizza, with all fresh ingredients, which clearly we are not alone at thinking, as they have a thriving take away business as well!!

The place is well worth a visit and any 'service' issue, raised in the previous reviews on this site have been resolved and the service was fantastic. The staff were attentive(but not overly) and were always on hand if needed. The food appear in great time and tasted fantastic.

If you want Italian in Maida Vale, Le Cochonnet is the place to go.

Fantastic little place.

First went in Easter 2007 and thought wow what a great find.

Went on Saturday and had the best steak I've had in years. It just melted in your mouth.

The service was very friendly and although they were very busy the service was fine. After a fantasic meal and one too many bottles of wine my partner and I left vowing to return in the very near future.

I often find that certain mundane and generally stupid people that visit busy successful places like this have no concept in to how hard it is to run an operation of this scale. So what you wait for your food, thats what "Going out for a meal means" Also Im sure all the people that complain about the service that you have never had a bad day at the office??? It happens get over it. I have been in the are now for four months I eat and drink in Le Cochonnet all the time and I have never had a bad experience. Great food Great Drinks and above all Very Very good and friendly staff.

I would recomend this place to anyone who enjoys a good night out.

To all the people that just winge and complain in general I would recomend you try th nearest Mc Donalds.

Le Cochonnet is my local restaurant and after returning from a holiday to Tuscany I can honestly say we didn't taste a betted pizza in the 2 weeks out there. The food is fantastic and it's great value for money.

The environment is a little plastic and people are often shoe-horned in to the venue. However, the real let down is the service. The servers are often grumpy, meals are forgotten regularly (I have had a meal where they've forgotten to serve the main course for 2 of the 4 people completely) and you can be waiting for ages for the simplest of orders.

Worth the pain for the pizzas though (just).

Maybe the reason the service it's not great in Le Cochonnet, because the waiting service works under pressure, and not with the respect they deserve!I used to work there, and I'm so glad I left because I never saw in other places that kind of derespect!!!!

this is a amazing place to talk and have a great time. whenever i go there it is full of people, but there is always places. the menu might be a tiny bit resticted but to go occasionally it's not bad. all the food on the menu is perfect, all the service is quick and the watiers and waitresses are friendly and know the food well. overall I would recomend you take a visit down there to have a relaxing time and eat some great food.

What a fabulous little place! Excellent food and a superb wine list. I have to say i was rather surprised about the reviews about the service.On our first visit my husdband and I were taken care of delightfully by a charming waiter, which added perfectly to the atmosphere. Upon returrning we have experienced equally friendly service. Each time we've dined here we have had a lovely evening. Two big thumbs up!

Good, simple food that is well cooked. Superb wine list. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. All of which is let down massively by appalling service. The staff are slow, often rude and more interested in their own conversations than serving the customers.
