Returned in May. Sad to report formerly excellent Masala Dosa now contains bland yellow mashed potato, lacked curry leaves, onion, mustard seeds and accompanying coconut chutney no longer had chillies and mustard seed kick. Sambar accompaniment very good. The Dosa itself excellent, crisp, but dull filling made it boring to eat after first half.
Sweet Lassi not cold, sugary frothy bland. Ho Hum.
Fish curry with Cassava most excellent, tender fish in delicious sauce, offered hot or medium.
Service nice and keen to please.
Place still good but go for the curries maybe?
Wine list not very descriptive at all - but some bottles on display if you look in front of you when you leave the gents.

The food is very good here but the service can be weird. (Last time they denied having any boiled white rice, only pilao and basmati, which can be harder on the teeth). If you like South Indian specialties like Masala Dosai, with little pots of sambar and coconut chutney, which is a lovely light lunch, or fish and cassava, or fish masala, or iddly and sambar, or velappams (light yeasty pancake) served with malabar chicken curry, it is well worth a visit. Cooking is reliable. Take care to ensure the waiter has understood your order, and that the bill is added up correctly, and you should avoid most of the minor service pitfalls, and have an excellent meal that knocks most Indian restaurants sideways.
