Amazing food, good prices. cocktails could do with some more practice (and alcohol in them) but average for a restaraunt.

super friendly happy service :) inside of the restaraunt is impressive and very stylish- we sat outside and well the courtyard was not up to the interiors standards, no table cloths rickety tables ... you really noticed the difference between thai ming and the ajoining restaraunt (looked much more presentable outside) this was the only thing that let the place down!

I've been there twice recently for their lunchtime set meal - 3 course £6.95 - excellent food. Even the 2 course £4.95 menu looked very good with portions to match the more expensive menu. Recommended.

My family and I went to try Thai food, some friends had told us about this restaurant. We were glad to have heard them, the service, the food, the friendliness of the owner and the staff was of first class.

We tasted the delicious and spicy delicacies and after eating too much since the portions are big we stayed there chating away and enjoying some coffee. Also the cocktails such as the Mojito and Pina Colada were so good that we ordered them twice.

I drive past this restaurant all the time and finally got round to going in, taking some friends with us. Well what a mistake that was. When we eventually got round to ordering from the un-attentive staff the food then took another age to get to us both starters and mains. We had to ask for a second bottle of wine 3 times before it was brought to the table and then the waitress couldn't open it because it wasn't a screw top so i had to uncork the wine for the table and water for the table never turned up despite all our requests. The food was average to say the least very greasy and not very flavoursome. Having said all of that it was a busy night for them and we were happy to laugh it all off and put it down to a busy summers night. Deciding to try it again last night after a couple of months break we took a stroll down there just the two of us. Greeted with a nice warm welcome and showed to a lovely table we sat back and perused the menu. We ordered the from the set menu for two and the wine after being in the place only 5 minutes as we were both very hungry and everything was looking lovely. Then the same old service reared it head again and we waited over 30 minutes for the starters to arrive whilst people who were coming in and ordering food to take away were served and given there food before we were. We asked twice where our food was and was finally given it 10 minutes after being told it was just coming. As the starters were being cleared all the mains turned up and we didn't even get chance to digest anything. All in all another bad experience and this time it was a lot less busy so no need for the hold up on food.

Having tried this restaurant TWICE now and had terrible service and average food i don't think we'll be going back here and would say save your money and go somewhere else.

My Wife and I went to this restaurant last night and what an excellent night! We had one of the best meals in a long while. The staff was attentive and friendly and the food was absolutely glorious. The restaurant itself is stylish with a great ambience about it.

It was a lovely evening and we chose to sit outside in the courtyard which was spacious and relaxing.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food and drink was fantastic!

Yesterday we stumbles across this place totally by chance, from outside it looked stylich and inviting and once inside we were totally captivated by this little place.

They were busy but not overcrowded, all the other diners appeared to be having a nice time there and it's not hard to understand why.

The food was top quality and the service was beyond reproach...more amazingly the price was very very reasonable....In London you easily pay 30-40% more for the same quality food!!!! I am so in love I will be a regular there from now on and want to thank owner Jess and her staff for a very memorable time.

People chack this out it has to be seen to be belived!!!

This is the first top notch eaterie I've found in this area having moved from Fulham to Camberwell last year. The service can be a bit scatty but you do feel like you're somewhere special and the food is superb. The hot soups rival anything I've had at other Thai restaurants, the mixed starter doesn't look like it just crawled out of the microwave and the lamb shank is absolutely excellent. Even the steamed rice is worth eating on its own. You're going to think I'm related to the owner but I'm not - I'm incredibly dismissive of the second rate restaurants in this part of London but Thai Silk makes an effort. The lady in charge is formidable and values her customers to the point of being a bit too obsequious. We've made this a regular and I haven't seen anything in the Kennington/Oval/Camberwell area to rival it.
