My Wife and I went to this restaurant last night and what an excellent night! We had one of the best meals in a long while. The staff was attentive and friendly and the food was absolutely glorious. The restaurant itself is stylish with a great ambience about it.

It was a lovely evening and we chose to sit outside in the courtyard which was spacious and relaxing.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food and drink was fantastic!

Yesterday we stumbles across this place totally by chance, from outside it looked stylich and inviting and once inside we were totally captivated by this little place.

They were busy but not overcrowded, all the other diners appeared to be having a nice time there and it's not hard to understand why.

The food was top quality and the service was beyond reproach...more amazingly the price was very very reasonable....In London you easily pay 30-40% more for the same quality food!!!! I am so in love I will be a regular there from now on and want to thank owner Jess and her staff for a very memorable time.

People chack this out it has to be seen to be belived!!!

This is the first top notch eaterie I've found in this area having moved from Fulham to Camberwell last year. The service can be a bit scatty but you do feel like you're somewhere special and the food is superb. The hot soups rival anything I've had at other Thai restaurants, the mixed starter doesn't look like it just crawled out of the microwave and the lamb shank is absolutely excellent. Even the steamed rice is worth eating on its own. You're going to think I'm related to the owner but I'm not - I'm incredibly dismissive of the second rate restaurants in this part of London but Thai Silk makes an effort. The lady in charge is formidable and values her customers to the point of being a bit too obsequious. We've made this a regular and I haven't seen anything in the Kennington/Oval/Camberwell area to rival it.

What a superb restaurant - more than that an evening's experience not only of gastronomic delight but ambiance, atmosphere, service and overall delight - not least the absolute top of the range cuisine!

I doubt it can be bettered for many a lone kilometre! Anything else is course sack-clothe alongside this pure Thai Silk.

Can't wait to visit again.Makes even the London traffic worth beating!

We had a great meal at Thai Silk last week. My husband had the pre-requisite Thai green curry which was delicious, just the right level of spicyness. I branched out with a beef stir-fry curry which was delectable with quite a kick. Will definitely go back!

A group of us went to this resturant for my birthday and found the actual resturant to very impresssive and comfortable. However the food was to less than desirable as it was overcooked, greasy and everything tasted the same. The cocktail, I ordered a virgin colada was watered down and I had to ask for another one. This has not been my experience of Thai food at other resturants and when we complained to the manager about our disatisfaction she was very dismissive even though a lot of the food was left over.In the end we left feeling very disapointed and with indigestion. We will never go there again. MY ADVICE IS TO GIVE THIS PLACE A MISS!!!

The lunchtime special menu is by far the best deal at £5.95. They do a more expensive deal at £7.95 which is also good but requires two people to order. The food is better than average but variable in that ordering a vegetarian option can result in the addition of tofu or just the absence of meat. All special menus are dropped at xmas in order to maximise xmas profit I imagine!. Service slow when busy, avoid Friday lunchtimes to avert this.

I have been to Thai Silk on a few occasions and have always been impressed. Last night the food was as tasty as it's always been. I chose grilled king prawns with a mild curry sauce, which was full of flavour. My partner had a red curry which was of a creamy texture and again very tasty. We ate outside in the court yard at the back which is perfect for a summers evening. My only complaint was the speed of our mains arriving after our starter

I go to Thai Silk at the very least once a month and they offer fantastic value for a great lunch. £4.95 for two courses - the choice is not huge (starters - sweetcorn cakes which are delicious, spring rolls, chicken wings and mains ranging from green curry, pad thai to thai sweet and sour), but when the sweetcorn cakes and pad thai are as good as they are here who needs variety. Decor has been smartly done and is nicely reminiscent of the orient. Waiting staff are always polite and friendly. All in all a great restaurant for a great value lunch. Oh and the thai crackers you get whilst deciding what to order are a particular bonus.
