I went to this restaurant on valentines day with my girlfriend. It was the first time I had been there so I didnt know what to expect.
I was completely blown away with the service we received. We had a nice table near the back of the restaurant which was really lovely.
The food was absolutely delicious. We had a buffet and could not wait to try all the different dishes. My favourite was the curry goat. Then we had chocolate cake for desert which was really tasty.
The waitress was so lovely and she kept coming to our table to ask if everything was okay. It made us feel really comfertable.
We were really looked after and it made our evening really special. I cant wait to go back there again and I would recommend it to all my friends!

Very disappointed.
Service was friendly enough, but that is the only good thing I can say about it.
The food was poor.
The rum punch was so watered down, it reminded me of of my all inclusive holiday holiday where they watered down the alcoholic drinks to stop the brits from getting drunk too quickly
Barbecued chicken was done in a tomato sauce and was was not remotely caribbean.
My curry goat tasted like it was a packet recipe.
When the waitress asked what we thought of the meal, I thought it better to say nothing, but my wife told them what she thought. She then received 2 vouchers to go back and get 2 for 1 meals.
Don't think we will be taking up the offer

I think dining at Caribbean Scene Family was a fantastic experience. The food was great, the ambience was great and overall it was money well spent especially on the jerk chicken which went down very well with my company and i.

i decided to try our this restaurant and must say that the people that have given this a good review don't no Caribbean food i cook and have grown up on this food and this restaurant does not even come close to it the food does not even have no flavour and is not even worth the money you pay i.e the steamed rice in most Caribbean shop this would be basmati rice instead i was given cheap rice which reminded me of school rice the service was terrible waited 20 minutes before someone came to take my order as well as that they forgot most of my order by the time the food came out as well as giving me flat drinks i would not recommend this shop if u want to experience TRUE Caribbean food this is not for you but if you are someone who only understand a pinch of pepper and salt then this is the place for you

I came cross the caribbean scene family while looking for a nice place to take my girlfriend for valentines day, The atmosphere was wonderful as was the food and staff, the only complaint is that of the waiting time for the food and drinks to arrive.
we got there and was placed at our table then we waited for 10 mins before getting a drink then another 20mins for starter, the main course came soon after but our dessert did not arrive!!! we waited 40mins then called over a waitress to ask where it was which she went and got for us.I felt that if I did not say anything me and my girlfirend would still be sitting there now waiting!!

I was searching for a place to have a late Sunday lunch with my boyfriend today and came across Caribbean Scene Family. I must say, I was a little apprehensive after reading the reviews about Caribbean Scene Royale, however I had the loveliest time in this place. The restaurant was very nicely decorated in a modern way, the music added to the authenticity of the Caribbean feel. The waitresses were friendly, courteous and accommodating. Food portions were very big (not that Im complaining!), drinks were extremely tasty - if I wasn't so full I would have ordered another drink! The portions were so large I had to take mine home in a box. The macaroni pie was to die for! I couldn't fault this place, but if Im to be uber critical, I'd say service was a little slow, newbies may find it a little difficult to know what to do. Upon entering the restaurant my boyfriend and I kind of loitered before being told we could sit anywhere we pleased. But other than that, everything was perfect!
Would highly recommend and will be coming back here soon with the family and the boyfriends family.

Having read some rather negative reviews I find it hard to believe that we are talking about the same restaurant here. I was with a party of 19 and we had a most enjoyable evening midweek in March (having myself also eaten there at the weekends) and found the staff most helpful and obliging and the food absolutely wonderful. I have also eaten at the restaurant in Stratford and again have always found the staff to be courteous and friendly. Over half of our party had not been to a Caribbean restaurant before and all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and said they would go back.
