This is the best Keralan food we have had in London to date. Food is fresh and authentic, just like being back in Kerala, or tasting good home cooking by a Keralan family. Fish curry is good and so are the vegetables, in fact, so are all the dishes. They also do Kerala rice. The 'Chicken 65' is just like we have tasted in Kerala. Service is also very good and they are child friendly.

If you have ever tried to prepare a proper Keralan meal, you would know, this is definitely not simple cooking.

If you don't mind a humble place with no frills but good food this is it.

My only gripe is that the restaurant is a bit small but it is always packed

Very good value for money and definitely worth the travel.

Of its type the food here is exceptional, hence the very high food rating. Obviously this is not complicated technical cuisine, so its a bit odd to give it the same sort of marks as one would a top restaurant, but in its category its superb. Everything is clearly home made, the spicing is balanced, with mustard seed, curry leaf and aniseedy flavours in a fish curry a difference from the high street norm, as were delicious vegetables I was unfamiliar with alongside the coconut in an ayiam side curry. All the flavours sang out with freshness, its the sort of food that puts a smile on your face. It felt like being back in India, and of those I've tried (many), this rates as one of the best if not the best Indian restaurants in the cheap and cheerful category in London. If you live nearby your lucky, if you don't, its worth a trip. Prices are very low, circa £10 a head.
