Absolutely love the food. Worth the drive from the north of the river. Last night was our second visit in 3 weeks. Will definitely go back there. Long live Smile's Thai.

Smiles is the best restaurant in London :) We go here every week without fail and are never disappointed. Nice staff, amazing food and BYOB with no cheeky corkage charge. If you haven tried it then you're missing out.

Lovely little restaurant that serves well presented and delicious food. Its small but popular amongst the locals so best to reserve on weekends. The interiors are warm and cosy, the best seat being under the tree! BYOB and reasonably priced. Definitely recommended.

Moved to Brockley a year ago and have only just found this place - what a find! Thai is my favourite food and I know a good pad thai. This is without a doubt the most tasty Thai food I've ever eaten. Great dumplings and an awesome spicy beef salad and the pad thai was special. They take care over the presentation and add lots of fresh vegetables and herbs. Highly recommended, it is also BYO which makes an already incredibly reasonably priced meal a bit of a bargain. I know that this is going to be a regular haunt from now on!

My husband & I visit this cafe on a regular basis. The decor is basic but clean & inviting. The fact thay you can bring your own alcoholic beverages is brilliant. The food is absolutely sublime- my favourite being the Thai Red Creamy Chicken Curry. The food is as close to any served in Thailand that we have tasted in the UK. The service is quick and friendly. They can get busy, but they always manage to fit us in, take away is also offered & is very popular- confirmed by the fact that the delivery drivers are always in and out. This is a gem tucked away in a London residential street- pay it a visit, we promise, if you like Thai food, you will not be disappointed.

Tucked away in a residential street midway between the Esso garage and the train station, Smiles Thai Cafe is the very definition of a hidden gem of a restaurant. Locals in the know pack this wonderfully cosy family run cafe, and with good reason. The food just zings with the taste of Thailand; sharp lime, chilli heat, fragrant coriander, creamy coconut...it's truly mouthwatering stuff, consistently good. Service is quirky but warm and generous, and very brisk - you won't find yourself looking at your watch as your tummy rumbles. The food is reasonably priced but not cheap - reflecting the good quality - but because its bring your own booze it still ranks as a bargain night out. We have moved away from Brockley but we still make a point of coming back for a regular fix of spicy beef salad, king prawn panang and noodles with chilli and basil - fab!
