Went here for a birthday dinner. Wish we never went.

FIrst, they demanded we pay in advance! Before the food was even cooked, after placing our order the bill was presented. They explained it was "policy" to charge in advance for large groups (6 people!)

What made it worse is that a 10% service charge was added to the bill. Now I object on principal to paying a mandatory "tip" anyway, but to be asked to pay it in advance really stinks. Which by the way described the service. Rude staff that ignored us all evening, poorly cooked, bad tasting food. High prices, small portions and low quality.

Oh, and they forgot the birthday treat dessert completely! after thirty minutes of waiting we had to demand a refund for it and leave.

Its obvious the staff didnt care at all about how they treated us as they already had our money and their tip. Noisy, cramped, rubbish.

The food is better at McDonalds.

Had been coming to Tinsletown for a few years for their Lunch Menu - as their evening meals are a rip-off. It used to be good - £5 for main, drink and ice-cream. That slowly climbed to £6.75. But you used to get a decent size half-pound beef burger or large chicken breast burger, which used to go down nicely. However, I went last week after a few months, and found that the pricing had changed £5.99 for meal deal without a drink. Small diet coke - £1.75 ! When the burger came it was about half the size it used to be, and meat was much worse quality. So paid £6.75 for half the meal I used to get - not going there again.

Suggest you stear clear of this place - as stated by others Staff can't speak English, and they won't listen to any feedback, even if you know them!

Even if I was a student - I don't see that its value for money - you can get a decent burger and chips with a drink in any Kebab shop on Old street for £5-6.

I agree with all the negative reviews. Dark, dingy, poor service ,sub-standard food and appalling toilet facilities.

This is an ideal place for impoverished students. Anyone with an income should spend their money elsewhere.

Do agree that one staff could not speak english. Food was very nice, service was good. They have a no trainers/hood policy, but this was not at all followed, as there was a group of teenagers with hoods, who were loud throughout our meal.
