Wandered past this little place a couple of times and went for dinner with 3 friends last night. Cosy upstairs table, overwhelmingly Taiwanese dinners (an encouraging sign in a Taiwanese restaurant). Service was quick and unfussy and our waitress advised us when we'd ordered enough for the 4 of us. Standouts were the mini kebabs (fresh corriander, juicy pork, delicate bun), chilli lamb, aubergine and tofu. We all loved this place and half way through the meal were planning to come back!

The bill came to £55.00 for 4 which is exceptional value.

Wednesday, January 27, 2010 - Gua Bao: Served with pork belly and peanut shavings, and also smothered with a ridiculously good gravy. The bun was puffy and very soft, carried a touch of sweetness and overall it produced a very juicy mouthful. The tender pork belly was soaking with flavour. Oh yummy, just like Taipei...There are few places in town which serve good gua bao, xiao long bao or even good congee and Leong's Legend delivers in that regard. I came out of this meal feeling uplifted which I'd put down to the high amounts of endorphins released, a pleasantly positive experience all around

Friday, October 09, 2009 - Their main restaurant has quite a selection of dim sum, whereas 'continues' has a bit more of a focus on more traditional Taiwanese dishes. One of their specialities is their Siu Long Bau, known under many guises. Some call them Shanghai dumplings, these are steamed pork dumplings which contain and release a sizable broth when bitten into...A good meal, although as usual, we ordered a little too much. Reasonably priced, but probably on the upper scale in Chinatown terms. I would definitely try it again, but I think I need to give the original place a go first.

Thursday, December 11, 2008 - This is the sequel or lesser sibling to the original one at nearby Macclesfield Street. Apart from the incredibly stupid name everything else is more or less the same. The standard of the xiaolongbao was indeed maintained with no punctures or leakages to report. In a word delicious as ever. The crispy onion pancake was average, greasy and a waste of money.
