went to sagar after a shopping spree and was not dissapointed , the staff are very friendly and helpful , the food is fresh tasting -not greasy at all and very authentic and the portions are great for someone who is greedy like myself, i would definatly recomend to others who like real indian food.

I had the Sagar Lunch Box Veg Takeaway and it was just perfect for £3.50, good tasty food, better than having sandwiches, I would go there again for sure and planning to take my colleagues as well.

I have been going to the Sagar in Hammersmith for years but have only just found out about the Catherine St branch.

I had the lunch special which was fab and in total only cost £7.50 including the drink.

Good pricing, Great food and friendly staff.

It is a true find, inexpensive, nice decor, excellent food. The staff were helpful and polite, the food arrived promptly and was very good, crisp and flavorsome, and all (three starters, chapati, rice and two mains came , no wine) for a paltry 23£.

Excellent. 6 of us had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Only 2 of us were vegetarian. We asked for advise & received it.. The staff could not have been more helpful. I ordered a crispy dosa (very long) and staff and diners joined in the fun of my ignorance. We had lots of small dishes to try as much as we could and no one was disappointed. I recommend it & will return.

Their lunch special is a really good deal at £5,75. It's like two course meal.

We expected a thali style dish to arrive (which was pictured on their flyer), but they brought a starter before hand (included in the special - we didn't know) - a poppadom & cous cous like mini dish each and 6 pieces of 'bhajia' along with chutney and sauces. That itself was enough for lunch, we thought. Then the main of the lunch special arrived - sag paneer currey, sambar, raitha, coconut chutney, good portion of rice and Masala Dosa!!!! If you are hungry go there!!!!!

Their cooking is not greasy at all, in fact very light. It's very filling but not heavy. Just the volume of food was very big for our 1 hour lunch break.

Take away lunch box is only £3.50, which I will try next time. Definitely go there again, cheaper than sandwich & crips!!!!

Think they just opened recently, so everything was clean and modern & nice.

Service was polite, despite we only spent just over £11 for 2 people.
