A great little local restaurant & very popular with the locals. went on the recommendation of a friend as a great place to take a first date.
This place has beautiful classy jazz singing waitresses, good cocktails, great food and is a charming little venue that is very New York in it's feel and ambience.
It has a garden at the back but it was too chilly to sit there last night but i will be back soon as they do a brunch at weekends.
the food is of great quality with seasonal produce but not fussy.
highly recommended

Visited the Naked Turtle for the first time last night and was really impressed. We opted for the fixed menu which was great value (£12.95 for two courses plus a glass of house wine). For the price I expected something pretty standard but was really impressed.
Fabulous ambience and loved the singing waitress. Will be going back next week. My only disappointment is that we've only just found this gem!

We dined at the turtle last Saturday and had a fantastic experience.
Unfortunately the power blew out a fuse in the main restaurant. But in true blitz style the show went on. The food still arrived in a timely manner. The piano and singing was done by candle light and with a lively warm open fire burning away. The staff were all professional to the last with continual singing and entertainment as well as being cheerful and jolly. How great it was to see that this restaurant can deliver great food and entertainment while under awkward conditions to say the least.
I ate the scallops with a Spanish black pudding for the starter, sensational and better than a lot of fine dining restaurants I have been to, we also had the Moroccan lamb and unlike the previous reviewer found it to be delicious, a true Moroccan dish, spicy and succulent lamb and sweet couscous. The seafood mixed grill was also well executed. Deserts were a lemon tart and selection of great cheeses.
We will be certainly going back soon and with any luck the lights will go out again and add to the entertainment what a fun place with great staff…
Well done The Naked Turtle I’ll be back soon.

My family and I dined at the naked turtle this weekend. We were disappointed to find that the menu on their website was far removed from the menu available at the restaurant that night-gone was the antipodean cuisine we had expected. Nonetheless we were still hoping for a good meal considering the reviews the restaurant has recently received. However my family and I were left wondering if we’d come to the right place! The food was lackluster, rather expensive for what we received, and didn’t meet up to expectations: the half lobster bore more resemblance to a king prawn and the olives served with the Moroccan lamb tasted absolutely rancid. The restaurant itself was very chilly, which made it a little hard to relax in and also made the dishes cool down rather too quickly. To finish the evening we ordered a round of Irish Coffees. These were just dreadful. They were incredibly sweet and tasted and looked as though condensed milk was used in place of proper cream as the consistency was very thin. To top it off they were served cold. All in all, we were very dissatisfied customers.

I have been going to the Naked Turtle for some years now, but since Paddy and Dee have taken over the restaurant, it now oozes class and sex appeal. The food is delicious, and the singing waitresses and grand piano enhance the already fantastic atmosphere. This is a very special restaurant that I go back to over and over again and am thoroughly satisfied every time. It's a true find!

i have to say i dissagree with the previous review my wife, guests and I had an excelent experence at this restaurant.
I have not dined at this restaurant in several years, but was compelled to give it a go after a friend of ours raved about it to us.
We booked for last friday night for 4 and although we were late we did not have to wait long to be seated. as we sat down one of the waitresses finished singing and came over to take our order.
We started off trying the cocktails which were made by the owner a former cocktail whizz from the west end which did not dissapoint in the slightest.
for startes we had a selection of Fois gras terrine, scalopes served with a beautifulr spanish black pudding.and a beetroot salad all of which were presented and tasted divine.
For mains we had a ceasar salad with sublime meat and cooked to perfection, a seafood mixed grill of razor clams, scalops and various cuts of fish excelent and very original. and the morocan lamb was also devoured by our guests.
We only had two deserts as we were full from the rest of the meal but both the chocolate tart and sticky toffee pudding were excelent.
the meal was finnished off by 3 of the waitresses doing a fantastic accopella rendition of candiman and a histerical lolipop sog
how fun it is to still have this quirky reastautrant with the singing waitresses a rareity with london being taken over with gastro pubs and chain restaurants that take themselves way to seriously.
we have already booked again and are looking forward to introducing this peculiar but splendid little restaurant to more friends.

Average is the only way I would describe the food at the Naked Turtle. I expected so much more after reading various reviews about this restaurant. We went there last Saturday to celebrate our anniversary and although the restaurant was quiet the ambience was pleasant, I wish we could say the same about the food. The menu is promising but the delivery is way below what anyone could expect at these prices. A Fillet Caesar salad seemed like clever idea but apart from the excellent beef was the most average Caesar salad I have tasted, hardly any Cos lettuce and mostly iceberg by the looks of it, soggy and bland. A Parma ham and Fig salad likewise consisted of little more than bland green lettuce and none of the exciting herby salad leaves you would expect in a Mediterranean style dish. This was topped with a tiny quartered fig and a mustard dressing that was mostly mustard. The presentation was so basic that the food looked unappetising.
The menu prices are high and with the 12.5% added service charge the place turns out to be quite expensive, not to mention the request for more tip from the staff for their singing?

This local restaurant has been on and rapid decline for too many years. how nice it is to see that it under obvious new ownership by people who know how and what a good night should be. the new owners seam passionate about the business and truly care for their customers.
Gone are the smelly toilets replaced by sumptous ladies that gleamed. Gone are moody, scruffy and inattentive staff replaced by profesionals who look and know what they are doing. oh and can sing so well to boot.
us residents of sheen are lucky to have this on our door step now.
food great value, wines and cocktails second to none. Service great. entertainment classy. new look restaurant Love it.
