Atmosphere is buzzing and enjoyable.

Rule of thumb when coming here is not to expect a fine-dining experience. Don't expect the staff to do absolutely everything for you - have a good attitude. It isn't much to hand them a plate at the far end of the table is it? A few small things like this, and they will be much more helpful.

DO however expect very good food, at very good value.

Crab cakes- sweet, spicy, juicy. Pho - full of flavour, fresh, and robust. Portion sizes are good, the herbs are fresh, and it doesn't take long for your food to arrive, even with an 80% full house.

Party of six, bill came under £70, albiet without wine, or service, but with drinks.

Definitely a favourite.

Bellaphon

Tuesday, January 11, 2011 - The Pho: Taste wise, a smidgen above average, the soup was short on depth and beefiness. Maybe if I turned up in the evening it would've been better instead...Tay Do is above ok and shouldn't disappoint at best. Come here for the banh cuon, salt and pepper eel and banh xeo (Vietnamese filled crepe) otherwise it's strictly Plan B if you can't get a table at Loong Kee Cafe, Hung Viet, or Que Viet.
