I am a self-confessed pizza- and Rustic-a-holic and visit at least three times per month. I do visit other pizzerias both in London and when travelling abroad but have never been anywhere that comes close in terms of quality. Especially none of the 'chain' pizzerias can match Rustica. It also has a very nice atmosphere and I often take corporate clients and friends there. The service is great and I can't wait till they open their new restaurant in St Margarets (where I live) so I can walk there. Highly recommended.

I've had wonderful pizza here in the evening. However, things are very different at lunch time. They clearly pre-bake pizzas for lunch time, then add the toppings and warm them up. Our 'award winning' pizzas arrived luke warm - something that simply couldn't happen if they had been freshly cooked from scratch. We tried to raise this in a friendly way, but they refused to back down. I don't like restaurants that take these kind of short cuts (the ham was also slightly stale), but what I really object to is being treated like an idiot. I've had enough pizzas to know whether a pizza has just come out of the oven freshly baked, or has been warmed up...

so - evenings only I'd say. As for me, I won't be going back.

I am a self confessed Pizza-holic and I must say that this was the best I have had since becoimg an addict 12 years ago. Apart from the tables being very close together it was a great evening.

PS - Mr Italian Patriot - I have had Pizza at 4 different restaraunts in Rome and they were all terrible! Pizza in the UK is far superior.

Rustica is one of the best pizza places in the area. I have never complained about food, tried almost everything on the menu and it's been fantastic! they also prepare food that is not on the menu ie spaghetti carbonara, which tastes amazing as well!

I definitely recommend Rustica for an evening out with friends or romantic dinner with a partner. Service is great, food is tasty and wine is great as well and its all at a reasonable price. In fact Im going there tonight, cant wait!

One thing I'll say though, sitting upstairs is much better than dowstairs, however, its usually booked for private venues.

I am a regular and can certainly say that I think this place is fantastic. I have taken many firnds there and they all want to return because of the fantastic food and wonderful atmosphere. I have been turned away on Tuesday nights before as it is such a popular place to eat. Excellent service too.

We waited 45 minuites for mains to arrive. I ordered Capriciosa extra anchovies and my husband ordered Quattro formaggi, my pizza came with no anchovies and tasted quite bland, my husbands pizza tasted only of gorgonzola and was uneven around the edges ( more bready than cheesy .)

The waitress forgot to ask if we would like coffee or dessert, she was in the kitchen having a conversation with the chefs. I had to go over to her to ask for the menu. Not impressed!

Overall I think the whole dining experience was o.k nothing exceptional.

We have been there several times for the past seven years (since we moved to the uk - from italy). The pizza is on average very good, (you might get the odd bad evening, but it could happen anywhere, even back home!).

The place is nice (better off getting a table upstairs) and the service good.

I would definetively recommend it! In fact, I'm heading there tonight.

ps I wouldnt' know about the wine list, as in Italy the drink of choice for pizza is birra (lager) :)

Have been there several times and it does do excellent food, and the wine is also good value. Always friendly service and would recommend it to anyone.

Sorry to see a previous reviewer was so "insulted" as an "Italian" by the pizza’s alleged poor quality - but then goes on to extol the virtues of Pizza Express - well if you like starter size and over priced pizza you go there! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great pizza!
