I live nearby and have been twice (both times Saturday afternoon) and both times had truly awful service. Staff weren't rude but are completely out of their depth and obviously haven't been trained properly. On our last visit the manager joked you "had to take a week off to guarantee to be served..."! That sums the place up for me I'm afraid. On our first visit we waited twenty minutes to have our order taken and another twenty minutes for our 2 x orange juices and 2 x teas to arrive (and only because I collected them myself from the bar!!!). On our last visit it took fifteen minutes for our order to be taken and ten minutes for our drinks to arrive. Trying to get a waiters attention is a bit like trying to find water in a desert and on both occasions we received food before cutlery and took our bill to the till to pay! The portions are massive but the quality is hit and miss. Definitely don't have the eggs benedict (it's more like a bacon and egg muffin) but the pancakes are very good. All in all a bit amateur I'm sorry to say.
