Thursday, September 24, 2009 - Chef Tonzanu is Sardininan; so are most of Tenore's staff. Ingredients and dishes from their native island feature prominently on this menu...Fregola is a Sardinian speciality, an oversized couscous that betrays Sardinia's close historical links to north Africa. Tenore's fregola is cooked with a mussel and clam broth and topped with prawn and langoustine. The pizzas are stone baked, with a good, crisp crust and wafer-thin and topped with high-quality ingredients.

Thursday, September 24, 2009 - A starter serving of risotto con calamari, cozze e bottarga was fabulously good. Bottarga, the cured roe of grey mullet, features a lot in the menu and it lends incredible fishy savour to the whole dish...Another Sardinian speciality was almost over-generous. Orata con purea di fave - gilthead bream with broad bean puree - was a whole massive fish, wonderfully fresh and meaty, served wrapped up in greaseproof paper, aromatic with tomatoes and herbs when opened up, well accompanied by spinach and the puree. How often do you get served too much really good fish in a restaurant?

I have been, to Tenore many time, and I am good friends with the guys, and usually I do not write reviews but I feel to defend them; I can say that a part the friendships the restaurant it is very unique; original Sardinian food well cooked and well served makes it special . I am writing just because this is the only website I can see in the net with bad reviews. And I noticed that who wrote bad reviews they must be really ignorant people that never went to restaurants! It is enough to show your point straight away when they are still fixable... isn't?

I think every restaurant must have Bad Days, but if you do not like the service, food, wine or your table why do not say it and try to spend a good experience rather than going home fuming? If you complain and do not get what are your expectations are, then I will be the first to write an honest bad review, no picking in stupid things like I did not like the TV on or more stupid like they should remove the picture with 2 priest in the Lambretta because they are not wearing an helmet! ;)

I like to eat especially in good restaurants and try always different food; Tenore every time surprises me with something new!

I m disappointed about tenore as have been eating there several times with friends and the food were allways amazingly tasty an well presented , but the last time I have been there with my girlfriend for a special dinner it was a disaster :

We have been welcomed by a waiter that showed us our table which was very dusty .

we ordered foods wich took over 45 mins to get the startes and the table next to us (ordered after us ) got the foods before us .

Ok finaly the starters arrived , I took the dog fish wich was looking horrible like dogs foods over cooked an tasting vinegar and salty , my girlfriend went for crostino with cherry tomatoes and botarga which the tomato had an acid taste and the bread was not tosted .

As main course we took the sardinian cous cous hoping it was better ,it was with seafoods but no taste of it and under cooked . the only good thing was the wine (cannonau red ) after a day like that next time we will go to mc donald probably better quality of foods..........dont waste your money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The worst restaurant I have been to for several years.

Beyond the plasma television showing 80s cookery shows and lackadaisical service, this restaurant serves food that is woefully bad. I will not embelish further than saying the starter of processed flavoured cream cheese was revolting and the lack of bortaga in the linguini bortaga, a tad disappointing, although in light of the fact that the remainder of the dish was bland, greasy and inedible it may have been a blessing in disguise.

An utter waste of money.
