Starters great especially Paneer Tikka which was fantastic and mixed ‘Mumbai’ appetisers, Bhel Puri not so great. Middle course of Onion Dosa very nice too. Mains mixed - Thoram especially was not terribly good, stir-fired vegetable curry decent. Service – one exceptional waiter: welcoming, friendly, prompt and one less so.
As for décor the dining room itself is nice with windows on two sides although the tables are fairly close together so whoever is sitting on the inside gets bumped when people go past. In addition the toilets are very small and could do with a spring-clean.
£22 a head (without service) including two beers and two very nice fresh juices – okay value.

Stands out well above the rest of the Drummond Street crowd at the moment, for quality of food, service and ambiance. The daytime buffet has a fabulous selection but can be a bit frenetic, the evening is much more relaxed and the food carefully prepared. The home made kulfi is divine...

I went here for the first time based on these reviews. Huge disappointment. My husband and I are both vegetarians, eat out all the time and he loves indian food. Worst meal in 20 years. I can't believe these reviews based on the really poor food we were served. Yes its cheap and staff friendly but food- yuk.
