Charterhouse
your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
I work across the street above Smithfield meat market and gaze out at the beautiful, quirky and triangular Charterhouse Bar!!! We lunch there a couple of times every week, the boys get the famous Charterburger which is so big they can't fully get their mouths round it. I tried it, once with extra chorizo topping...mmm yummy, ... but a bit too much of a mouthful for little ole me.
Us girls normally opt for one of the delicious salads goats cheese, smoked salmon with king prawn.
Prices are really quite cheap, lunch and a drink for about £10 - £12.
The rosé is very nice and after work I sometimes, spoil myself and share a bottle of rosé prosecco with a friend....the happy hour (4pm to 7pm) means it costs around £14...I think....
They're lovely people, a nice small local business where the staff and owners will stop and chat and make sure you feel welcome...
