Ponti's Italian Kitchen (Duke St)

I've just discovered this diamond tucked away behind BHS in Oxford Circus. The first thing that stands out is the (genuine!) welcoming service and it's not because they're desperate for business. Plenty of people create a nice buzzy atmosphere, decor is modern but quirky and there's a nice touch of Carluccio-style produce on display. We went for lunch and had fabulous pizzas - cooked in a proper pizza oven and no more expensive than the numerous chain restaurants. I'm told this place runs pizza-schools which must be fun. Will definitely go again....and try the burgers next time, they looked great!
