your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne

don't believe any good comments on here, its probably themselves trying their best to hide the fact their food is rubbish, they have spent a lot of money on advertisement make it all attractive and the food is shameful to Chinese people

the rice i ordered was black in colour burnt bits in it had a chemical taste which got sour after each bite and the guy who delivered it was even expecting a tip. i had a better Chinese at Asdas. i don't trust restaurants much more i don't know why we blindly have faith in them.

The food is very close to the food you can get in Malaysia.

Good size portion and great price.

Highly recommended to all who wants true taste of the far east.

They ought to employ staff that can speak and understand english and get rid of the miserable woman that sits and stares at the customers

Just rang up for a takeaway to be picked up, the staff did not even ask whether I wanted to pick up or have the food delivered, first question was for my telephone number and address assuming I am having it delivered!

I ordered 2 dishes and it took forever for her to take my order. No wonder the telephone line was busy all the time - they need to get someone for efficient in taking telephone order!

I just came back from feringgi bay for my dinner .....im so glad that i found this restaurant in this big city. I just need to order and wait for my food to be cooked for about 15 min. saving my time and money to get a ticket to msia/singapore/ thailand to have such an authentic food... the particular i love the most is the prawn noodle, laksa and ice kacang....and i love the way they serving customers...it is not a big luxury restaurant ...but full of friendly and considerate staffs. they will recommend their food according to your preferance ....good price for massive portion and good service and good food...will definately worth to go again and again....

I'm so glad this one is a local for me. This is a relatively new restaurant that came to the area shortly after Oriental City closed down. And I'm glad they did.

Having eaten from the hawkers in the real Feringhi Bay in Penang, Malaysia, I'm happy to say that this place does deliver the authentic goods. I've just come back from what I think is my 8th or 9th visit in about 10 months of knowing this place.

I'm always made to feel welcome here, whether on my own or with a friend and I've recommended it to several people now.

The price is always very good indeed. You can eat yourself full here for around £10 a head.

It's not very atmospheric though. But it isn't trying to be. This is a hawker stall in the middle of Colindale. Hawker stalls don't have decor. Neither does this place. But everything else is spot on and delivered just like it is on the other side of the world.

I'm certain to be going back.

I went to this restaurant on 11th April. My husband order Nasi lemak Ayam and I have Claypot Chicken Rice. We also ordered Loh Bah as appetizer.

We are very dissapointed with the food. The curry chicken that come with the nasi lemak that mu husband ordered is all chicken bone and can tell straight away that it has been in the fridge for few days.

Initially he wanted the nasi lemak ayam and order extra beef rendang as a side. He was told that all have been pack in a box, they cant separate them out. Sound ridiculous to me, meaning all have been precook and sitting in the fridge ??

Then when my Claypot chicken rice is serve, it is not what show on the picture either ! Chicken was in the claypot and i was given a bowl of white rice on the side. Again, the chicken in the claypot seems like those chicken that I have cooked and put in the fridge for few days.

Needless to say the appetizer which came last is oily and a bit bitter on the meat. Dont ask me why.. I have no idea..

I will not visit this restaurent again coz it suck big time !!!

This is a brilliant place. It has no pretensions to haute cuisine, but it provides solid authentic Malaysian cooking in pleasant surroundings, and is good value. There are usually several Malaysian customers whenever I'm there, and that has to be a good endorsement.

They were one of the best at the OC, and the quality of their food has not diminished at all since they've set up here. It's also consistent - I've been here many many times and never had a poor meal.

I go for seafood curry laksa, or the hot & sour seafood fried glass noodles (it's called something slightly different in the menu, but that's how I think of it, as it's what I had many times at the much lamented OC). For a more hard-core Malaysian taste the Asam Laksa is v. good.

The people running it are friendly and welcoming. I endorse the comment below about never feeling rushed.

If you like this sort of food - take time to go - you won't be disappointed.

I agree! We work nearby and are regularly in this place in the week. The food is delicious and portions are immense for the price. The guy who looks rock hard is always on hand to answer questions about the food and ensures the service runs smoothly.
