The New Balti Tandoori

This is my favourite Indian. The food is good - they have an extensive menu but at the same time are happy to provide other dishes. I would definitely recommend the Tandoori Biryani. Also of note are the meat samosas are amongst the best I have ever had in London.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and always on hand to guide you through the menu and give good advice.

Give the New Balti a whirl, you won't regret it.

Really reliable local Indian.

The service is pleasant if a little erratic. There have been two waiters while I've been going there - both are friendly and attentive. but they do have very diiferent approaches. I'll leave the rest to you to find out.

Seriously thought all the starters have always good as for mains, tandoori trout is very decent as is the Lamb Tikka Madras.

The layout of the place suits all - there are tables for four at the front, nice tables for two at the back and a few larger tables in the middle. Not full of twats at eleven which is another bonus. Value for money is pretty good. The hand-drier in the Gents is probably the original article.

All in all - nothing wrong with the New Balti at all. Decent food. Good service. A pleasant place to eat and all fair value.
